The Dog Stop - Franklinton

I love The Dog Stop almost as much as my dog, Coda does! She loves the daycare…She LOVES Joe the groomer and she loves being there when she can’t be with us on vacations. The staff is super friendly and has continually eased her separation anxiety to make her feel comfortable and loved anytime that she is there. (Before and after grooming pics) ❤️

We love Joe!! He’s the best groomer we’ve ever had. My 14 year old Pomeranian is quite the handful. He is always so understanding and doesn’t let his bad behavior steer his feelings and treatment towards my little old man. He also is great with my overly anxious, little 2 year old Pomeranian that whines a lot. Long story short my babies are a lot to deal with and I feel cmfortable and confident every time they are with Joe. On top of the extra patience needed he ALWAYS delivers perfect cuts! My boys always prance around with confidence after their day at the"barber shop"

I’ve sent 3 follow emails in response to the message I received from the incident involving my Gracie. My Girl has two very severe wounds from a dog bites that she received while in your care. You all characterized it as a small injury, when the dogs were all excited playing. The one was tended to, and the ointment that was applied, smeared in her hair over the puncture, and I didn’t realize the severity of it until a day later when I was cleaning it. I have replied to that email three separate times now, sharing pictures of how severe it is and no one has even reached back out let me know exactly what happened. It is my understanding that you actually let the dog who bit her stay amongst other dogs. There was also a second dog bite that was not accounted for while in your care. My dog has been coming here for the last two years, and I wholeheartedly trusted you to keep her protected. The way in which this injury has been downplayed has me so disappointed in you all. The safety of my baby comes before anything and we will not be returning.

I have had my Golden groomed at many places. Lindsey is wonderful and really listens to how you want your dog groomed. Like that they don’t keep her is a crate all day in at 9 and out by 10. Check her out you won’t regret it. Experience counts !

I first discovered Dog Stop when I met Melissa, the owner, and her adorable Bernadoodle at Pet Supplies Plus. It was clear right away that Melissa is a true dog lover, and our two Bernadoodles, Dolores (8 months) and Mazzy (4 months), absolutely adore Dog Stop! The facility has both indoor and outdoor spaces, plus a webcam so we can check in on them during their stay. They always seem to be having a blast! The entire staff is so professional, warm, and responsive, making every visit a great experience. I also want to mention Joe, the groomer—he did an amazing job with our girls, who were long overdue for a grooming. They look gorgeous, and he made the experience so pleasant. Plus, the prices are incredibly reasonable. I can’t recommend Dog Stop enough!

Here are the photos for my last review, I am still waiting to hear back from you all on what next step are going to be taken. I also want to know if the dog that is responsible still allowed in the facility with other dogs? We find out Thursday if she will need surgery.

The Dog Stop was very clean, and we were welcomed as soon as we entered the store. There was plenty of parking. The staff was friendly and treated our dog with kindness and respect. We are planning to board her there is the near future.
