Sundance Kennels

I should have submitted a review earlier, but after this hunting season, I didn't realize how good a hunter our GSP from Sundance is. Lacie is 4-1/2 and in her 4th season hunting. Having hunted with another GSP from Sundance most of the time I came to expect a sharp nose, steady point and a real fun dog. Well this year I have hunted with a couple of other GSPs this year. Well having compared her to the others, we are blessed with a great dog, stays within range, holds a point for a long time if I am slow getting there. Lol. She honors the other dogs point, is not gun shy, and gets along with other dogs very well. She is a natural at working a field, was pretty easy to train and a great companion. She is our first GSP so there was a learning curve, as GSP's are bit different than any other dog I have ever had. Even after reading 3 books on the subject. Lol. Thank you for a great dog. We highly recommend Sundance Kennels.

Sundance Kennels is a well run, clean, and high quality breeder that provided us with a beautiful German Shorthaired Pointer puppy. Stacey was very involved in every step of the process and we were so happy she encouraged us to visit multiple times before picking up our pup so we could see how he changed week to week. I can’t recommend Sundance Kennels enough as Stacey and her staff are welcoming, friendly, extremely fast with email correspondence and easily accessible (less than an hour north of Chicago.) Thank you so much for being the link between us and the newest member of our family!

We have been using Sundance Kennel for quite a while. We first used another boarding kennel for our beagle years ago and it wasn't great after the owner died. We took her to Sundance and you could tell that she felt like she was on vacation. Since then we have used them for our labs. Sadly we only have our 1 lab, Daisy and she totally adores the staff. They love the dogs as if they are theirs. Daisy went on 2 trail walks and we got a picture of her on 1. They are kept clean and even her sunblock was put on daily. We didn't worry about her at all. I totally recommend them. Their fees are also very reasonable. I give them a 10+ stars. Sheri Kerr

I love GSP's and I was able to get a great dog at Sundance Kennels. My dog is Duke. I always wanted a hunting dog due to watching hunting shows on TV as a kid. I was fascinated when the shows had segments with GSP's pointing pheasants. The hunting training provided by Sundance Kennels allowed me to fulfill my childhood dream of harvesting a pheasant in South Dakota. Duke also loves the water and waterfowl retrieves.

Sundance is the only kennel for us for over 10 years. We drive from northern Illinois because we will never go anywhere else. Stacey and the entire team is amazing. The staff is consistent. Our dog enjoys the extras of playtime and the special 3 walks per day. We consider the Sundance team an extension of our family and always feel secure our baby is receiving the best attention and care.

I cannot stress enough how absolutely wonderful the people are at Sundance Kennels! I have a very anxious and protective dog who has bad separation anxiety. Before finding Sundance kennels, we struggled to find places to board him that would be willing to work with such an anxious dog or had the facilities to handle him. We have been taking him here for years now and he always comes back to us super happy and with good news! They are able to take him for walks and care for him when he has never let others interact with him so deeply and I will always praise their staff for the great work they do!

I made the best decision when I came into Sundance kennels and walked out with my beautiful fur baby. Her name is cinnamon and is just the happiest pup with her two cat sisters. I highly recommend going to them if you’re looking for your new forever pup !
