Petco Grooming

Our Australian shepherd- sheltie mix was shaved down in an uneven and horrifying shave for her breed. When we had dropped her off the groomer had said he would "keep the length" and we thought her haircut would have cleaned her up and trimmed the length she had come in with but shaving the whole dog was shocking and unnecessary. My understanding was that the groomers here would give a breed specific appropriate cut but that is very much not what happened. Our dog has never come back from the groomer looking like this. Pics are before then two of after. I can’t recommend taking your dog here after this experience.

I called the store after leaving my gloves there and spoke with Gabby who was so kind and helpful. When I came to get them, she had them wrapped up, taped and labeled with my name. She had attached a note saying I’d be coming on Monday to pick them up. I was so grateful 🙂

Phill at Petco provided outstanding customer service. He took the time to help us find the right dog food, answered all our questions, and made the whole experience easy and stress-free. His knowledge and friendliness truly stood out. Petco is lucky to have him.

My dog’s appointment for a full grooming: teeth, nails the works set for 4:45 pm. The groomer told me it would take an hour then checked her watch and said she wanted to be closed by 5:30 pm. And I should plan at returning at that time. When I picked up my dog, he still felt wet and smelly. His ears we’re not cleaned and his breath was not fresh. For $80… I would never use this grooming service again.

I dropped my dog off for grooming with Reyna and made sure to explain twice exactly what I wanted for her haircut. Unfortunately, she completely ignored my requests and shaved my dog according to her own vision instead. She generalized her knowledge of one breed to all, which is not right, and it caused irreversible damage to my dog’s fur due to her ignorance. While there are some good groomers at Petco, those who do not have experience with certain breeds should not take on that task, as it can cause a lot of damage — exactly as it did in this case. I left feeling frustrated and very disappointed with the service. I would not recommend Reyna as a groomer.

Jaime and the staff did a great job with my dog scout. They are so nice and professional.

We bring in our dog at least once a month to get his nails clipped and teeth brushed. The service is always prompt and well done. We have the vital care plan and it’s worth the fee.
