Camp Zoo and Pet Ranch

Camp Zoo is the best! My dog is a bit anxious and we shopped around for a while trying to find a daycare that worked for her. Joe and Emily took the time to help my dog come out of her shell and now she is the happiest camper of all time! Their multiple instagram posts per day are a great way to keep up on the fun they are having out there.

I've been taking my dog to Camp Zoo for years now. Mark, the original owner, was an absolute gem and the new owners Joe and Emily+staff are just as caring. My dog gets so excited to see the them every time we go and they post frequent updates and videos to their Instagram, which makes me feel so comforted when I'm away from her. Most boarding places are way too full or don't give the dogs a ton of time to run around, but you can tell the dogs at camp zoo are out all day and well cared for. My dog comes home happy and exhausted. This business is highly recommended!

Camp Zoo is the very best dog care I could imagine. I send my two energetic dogs there for a day of daycare once a week or so and a few times a year when I travel, and they get a great deal of exercise and attention. They get so excited in the car when they realize that they're going there and they come home utterly exhausted. I love watching the videos of them playing throughout the day that they post on IG. Camp Zoo is easy to schedule with and the rates are good.

Mark and his team are amazing! Our rescue dog has significant anxiety and had likely never been boarded before. We did a lot of research looking for the right place. I chose Mark’s primarily because the dogs get so much outside time and it had such a homely (rather than corporate) feel. Could not be happier with our decision! Our pup had a great time and loved Mark! We really enjoyed the daily videos which put my mind at ease. She came home super tired and happy. We are planning on leaving for a longer vacation out of the country later this year and I will absolutely be bringing her back. Thank you Mark and your team! 🙂

My dog never looks happier than when he is walking (sprinting) into Camp Zoo Pet Ranch. It's clear the staff really cares about each and every dog and makes sure they are having a great time at camp. The large yard ensures lots of playtime for all the dogs and even in the heat they bring out pools and make sure the dogs get ample playtime inside and out. They frequently post videos on Instagram so you can check in on your pup as well. If you're looking for a daycare or boarding facility where your dog will be truly loved while also getting to spend the majority of their time running around with friends outside I highly recommend Camp Zoo!

This is the BEST doggy daycare in Austin! I took my 1 year old "nervous" socially-challenged Aussie here and Marked gave him a chance, worked with him, and brought him out of his shell. It was hard letting him for for the day, but Mark posted videos and I could see how my Banjo was doing…not so great on the first day, but MUCH better on day two, thanks to Mark’s 1-1 time with my dog. Mark really cares, and I now know my dog is going to grow into a happier more socialized dog. I love that Mark supervised the dogs all day, and I know my dog is safe here. I have a lot of trust and confidence in Camp Zoo. There are many other brand names doggy daycares out there, but my friends have had their dogs injured and neglected elsewhere. I would take my Banjo anywhere else but here. ❤️

This place is the BEST. I have a very sweet and loving, but very nervous Great Pyrenees rescue puppy with major kennel anxiety. Long story short - it is tough to find someone to petsit a 100 pound puppy with anxiety, and we're working hard to break him out of his separation anxiety by getting him used to being away from home, so we began looking for a daycare and boarding environment to keep him safe while we're away. This is a careful mixture of keeping him calm/not stoking the anxiety, and adjusting to what he needs rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. I've looked all over Austin for a daycare and boarding place that can accommodate my Charlie, and after having a really terrible experience with another daycare, I felt like we'd never find a spot that would care for Charlie and be able to keep him safe and happy when I need to board him. At Camp Zoo, it is clear that Joe and Emily actually LOVE the dogs they're caring for. It's clear they aren't just doing this to pay the bills but because they love dogs and want them to have a place to go that treats them with care. They have gone out of their way to accommodate my anxious escape artist, and make sure that he is calm and comfortable with them. Plus they post and send the cutest snuggly photos of him. It is a breath of fresh air - so many places treat boarding as a very transactional experience and have untrained/inexperienced staff who don't seem to be dog lovers. Camp Zoo feels like I'm leaving my pup with friends who will make sure that he is well cared for and happy. I truly couldn't be more thankful to find a place that I'm comfortable leaving my pup.
