Rustic Retreat Lodge for Dogs

We’ve trusted Rustic Retreat with our pup for nearly two years, including through a recent change of company ownership. The standards and care provided here have remained very high, and we couldn’t be happier to bring our fur baby here. In addition to being a clean and caring environment, we love the amount of playtime our dog receives, and the communication from the team (we appreciate the status updates and photos while we’re away). Cynthia and her team do a great job at Rustic Retreat. Our dog gets SO much love, attention, and playtime, and always comes home tired and happy.

We have boarded our dog at Rustic Retreat for a few years now and will continue to do so. We have a German Shepherd, and he tends to have separation anxiety, which is common for the breed. We were so pleased to learn, when we first visited Rustic Retreat for a meet-and-greet, that the owner, Josh, is very familiar with German Shepherds. Now our dog is very comfortable when we drop him off for stays at Rustic Retreat. The facility is clean and well maintained. The booking system is easy to use for scheduling stays. Josh is very responsive and easy to work with. I feel at ease knowing my dog is well cared for while we are away.

Not only is he extremely accommodating, but he cares for our dogs as if they are his own. He is also very knowledgeable- often times we reach out to him with questions before our own vet! Rustic Retreat Lodge has been a great experience for our family and our dog. Josh is very helpful, knowledgeable, and takes great care of our dog while we are away. We have brought our Labrador to Josh at Rustic Lodge for years and since our dog was a puppy. We choose Josh every time as we know the place is squeaky clean, our dog gets a large kennel where he can go in and out and a large fenced in yard where he gets supervised play with other dogs. Every time we drop off our dog he is happy to see the owner - Josh - and that speaks of approval from our dog too. This gives us peace of mind! Josh is happy to send updates during our lab stay and we appreciate those too. Josh is a great and prompt communicator both via emails and text. So thankful to be able to relax while on vacation knowing our pup is safe, cared for, and that all dogs are up to date on vaccines. Thanks Josh!
