Camp Bow Wow Bixby

My 3 dogs, (2 dachshunds and a yorkie) love it here at the Bixby location. We have a bag we put together when we are going to take them and when they see us getting that bag ready, they are beyond excited. The staff are sweet and attentive. So far they seem to have a good retention of their staff because we always see the same employees and I like that they already know our dogs and their routines. I would say that it would be nice if they let us do a customized tip when we check out with credit card, we like to tip but our dogs go a lot and sometimes we want to tip more than other times. The staff works hard and we always appreciate them.

We take our pups to Camp Bow Wow whenever we go out of town and are unable to take them with us. They get excited as soon as we pull into the parking lot as the know they are in for a good time. The staff here is amazing and takes great care of them. You can pull up the cameras and watch them play with other dogs. There is a staff member with them. Highly recommend you take your pups here.

We’re new to Tulsa and we’ve found a treasure in Camp Bow Wow! From day one, my dog Spencer has enjoyed the staff and his new fur friends. The staff is awesome and they have made us feel right at home. We’re proud and happy to be new members of the camp!

Will not return. My dogs smelled of feces when I picked them up. Their bag of toys and everything in it was soaked in urine when it was returned to me. One of my dogs was so scared of the employee, the employee had to "catch" my dog in order to return her to me. The video coverage was limited at best. During the partial video of the dogs during outside play, the employees were talking to each other and ignoring the dogs.

There’s one male employee that comes to work drunk And there’s several people stoned out out of their mind Poorly managed-----------they also tried to block you for making honest reviews------instead of trying to resolve the issues----Extremely rude people at times They will not return my dog stuff that I bought him. They returned an old junkie one that was not even the same color bed. My dog was there 13 days did not eat 10 pound dog lost 4 pounds Was not notified he was not eating They obsessively lied to you. I have proof of every kind. Hit me up I will send anyone proof of this dysfunctional poorly managed unsafe environment I had hoped and tried many times to resolve this with you all . I don’t understand why you’re not willing and then post that you are.

Most of the time, my dog is returned to me after a stay here tired but not particularly stressed. This last stay was unacceptable and the reason he will never again be at Camp Bow Wow Bixby. My dog stayed here for two days. I called each day to check on him, but only got through to someone once (Thursday evening). I picked him up early Friday afternoon, only at which point I was informed that his right eye was inflamed and oozing green pus. Sure enough, my dog was returned to me moments later with a blatant eye infection. I have had him for 7 years and he has never had issues with his eyes before this. He does not have folds in his eyes that would predispose him to eye infections. Within seconds of his return to me, he began trying to rub at his eyes, obviously in discomfort. Immediately after paying, I took him to an urgent care vet. After careful examination and some testing, the veterinarian determined that he had a small laceration near the corner of his right eye that she said could only have been caused by another dog biting him near the eye. She confirmed to me that my dog could not have lacerated his eye there by scratching himself. His laceration caused significant inflammation and eye infection. Thankfully, he did not require sutures or surgery, but he did need antibiotics and antiinflammatories. With this said, I understand completely that I accept liabilities such as injury to my dog caused by another dog while at Bow Wow Buddies Bixby. What I find unacceptable is that I was not informed of his infection and injury until pick-up. The attendant who gave my dog back to me told me that she had been the first to notice, though she only informed me upon pick-up. I communicated over the phone to another staff member what had happened (and that they had forgotten to give me back his very expensive medicine). I stated that I understand I accept liabilities for my dog's injuries at Camp Bow Wow Buddies, but that I cannot take him somewhere where I am not informed when my dog is hurt. The employee said "That's understandable". When I drove back to Camp Bow Wow to retrieve my dog's items that had not been returned to me, the same staff member who had originally given my dog back to me asked me what the vet had said. I told her that the vet informed me that the laceration and resulting infection could only have been caused by a dog biting mine, at which time the attendant repeated to me several times that she didn't know how they could possibly tell that. I simply stated that I was not here to argue, that this was what the vet told me. I was given my dog's medication back and left. After arriving home, I called once more to inform Camp Bow Wow that I was canceling his reservation for this upcoming Monday-Wednesday. I no longer trust this company to take care of my dog. Informing me of accidents and injuries is necessary for me to trust someone with my dog. I did not want to leave a bad review, but the situation was not apologized for or dealt with when I was in person or over the phone yesterday.
