The Red Hydrant Dog Hotel and Daycare

I have been using Red Hydrant since the fall of 2024 and I have zero complaints! Unlike many daycares, they don’t overcharge or overcrowd their facility, which ensures the safety and well-being of every pet under their care. I absolutely love receiving the cutest updates throughout the day of my dog, Peanut. He’s always having a blast with his doggie friends and comes home soooo tired—clearly enjoying every minute of his time there! Red Hydrant has become such a reliable and loving second home for my pup, and I couldn’t be happier with their service. Very reliable! Highly recommend!

We took our youthful senior dog to Red Hydrant for daycare and boarding and couldn’t have been happier with the experience and service. It was his first time at daycare or group boarding and he did so well playing and making friends . Jeff and his team are extremely professional, communicative, and knowledgeable. They were flexible with our needs and treated our fur baby very well. All of the dogs seems happy and well-cared for. We can’t wait to return to the Red Hydrant!

We cannot say enough good things about The Red Hydrant Dog Hotel and Daycare, and especially Jeff and his team! They have been exceptional for our dog Gordo and our three cats during multiple in-home boarding stays (often for a week at a time), as well as for regular dog walks. I’m very selective about who I trust with our pets, and Jeff earned that trust immediately. From the very first visit, he stood out. Gordo is a rescue who can be wary of new people, and Jeff instinctively understood that trust takes time. He met Gordo exactly where he was, moved at his pace, and made him feel completely at ease. It was clear right away that he truly understands animals. Our cat Leo was purring and rolling onto his back within the first minute of meeting Jeff. That told us everything we needed to know. Whether it’s daily walks or extended in-home boarding, Jeff and his team are incredibly respectful, attentive, and reliable. They follow every request to a T, keep our home spotless, and consistently keep us updated so we can fully relax while away. Most importantly, our pets are genuinely happy, comfortable, and excited to see them, which says everything. We trust Jeff and his team completely and recommend The Red Hydrant to absolutely anyone looking for thoughtful, dependable, top-tier pet care. Truly the best!!!

As a first time puppy mom, I was very anxious about leaving my puppy Ozzy with anyone else that wasn’t family. However, after visiting The Red Hydrant and meeting Jeff, I felt more at ease. The facility was clean and my puppy felt comfortable immediately! Jeff is super attentive and thorough when it comes to walking, potty, and feeding schedules. He was able to administer Ozzy’s medication successfully — which was such a relief! Ozzy enjoys The Red Hydrant and loves making new friends! He has been going to The Red Hydrant 1-2 a week and is always so excited to see Jeff—just goes to show how much Jeff and his staff treat Ozzy as if he was their own. To top it off, The Red Hydrant has a pick up and drop off service which is extremely convenient for full-time working pup parents. Ozzy’s care and time at The Red Hydrant has been amazing! Jeff sends frequent updates throughout the day and I am glad to have a trusted facility to look after my puppy while I am at work. I would highly recommend!

Jeff and Steven at The Red Hydrant have been incredible. This was the first place that I felt comfortable leaving my 11 month 7.5 lb mini dachshund at. Daisy is shy with other dogs and loves to be with people. She hates being left alone, which is why I decided we needed a daycare spot, since I started an onsite job the other month. Jeff is communicative about how Daisy is doing throughout the day, with text/photo/videos updates, and that means everything to me. It’s really helped any previous anxiety I had. The other dogs there are so sweet, especially Jeff’s dog Lola. Really happy the Red Hydrant exists and that Daisy has a safe space to go to when needed ❤️

The Red Hydrant is hands down the best dog boarding spot in Brooklyn! My dog, Cabbie, is like family there. The personalized care they provide is unmatched – they take Cabbie out on individual walks, which she absolutely adores! It's not just a boarding place; it's a second home for her. The daily updates they send are amazing! It's so reassuring to see her happy and having a blast while I'm away. And Jeff, the owner, is a gem of a person, easy to talk to, and quick to respond. He genuinely cares about every dog that walks through the door. Overall, The Red Hydrant gets two paws up from us! If you're looking for a place where your fur baby will be treated like royalty, look no further.

My dog has separation anxiety. I was looking for a sitter because I wanted to try a gym nearby. I found Red Hydrant and Jeff listened to my concerns. He gave me peace of mind on their approach and can see they really care for all the dogs they watch and will definitely be back.
