Animal People Dog Boarding & Day Care

Darwin loves coming here and gets along well with the entire staff, most of whom he has known since a puppy back when old ownership had the facility. I was very nervous when the ownership changed, but the original staff of Leslie and Addison, as well as the new staff and owners have been good. They also have put a lot of effort into upgrading tbe facilities, especially the outside yards.

We absolutely adore Animal People (and have tried 7 different day care / boarding places around the CLT metro area)! Thanks for taking such good care of Brew 🐶

Animal People have been absolutely amazing! We love the facility, and the pricing is reasonable. Since starting daycare here, we’ve noticed such a positive change in Apollo, he comes home happy and tired, and he’s even initiating play again, which is something we hadn’t seen in a while. The staff have been incredible to us and truly show how much they care about Apollo. You can tell they genuinely love the dogs they work with. He mostly goes for daycare, but we’ve also done boarding and have been so happy knowing we have a place we trust for both. Could not recommend Animal People more! 🐾💙

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Animal People Dog Boarding! From the moment we dropped Lewis off, we knew he was in the best hands. The staff went above and beyond to make sure he felt comfortable and loved, and they treated him like one of their own. Lewis came home happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. We especially appreciated the regular updates via report cards and Facebook photos—they gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear he was not only safe, but also having a great time playing, socializing, and getting plenty of attention. It is obvious that they take pride in what they do, their facility and who they hire. Every employee we have encountered from the owner at our initial tour to the employees who checked us in and out are passionate about what they do and truly understand dogs and what makes them feel at home. We’re so grateful for the care and compassion they showed Lewis, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving place to board their pup. We’ll definitely be bringing Lewis back!

I boarded my dog Koda here over the weekend and she had a blast!!!! She made lots of friends and seeing her so happy in the pictures made me feel loads better knowing she wasn’t sad and alone. They even gave her an exit bath when I picked her up which was such a nice surprise!!! She smelled great and it was nice to not have to do it after a long day of traveling. They are also super fair in pricing and we will 100% be back for any boarding, day care, training or grooming needs!

I have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I have used Ashley and Abbie regularly for walking my dogs as well as check in on my kitties. They are wonderful to work with. Very dependable- they have never missed an appointment. I know they have a busy schedule but will do their best to fit you in for a last minute visit. Recently, I was home recovering from surgery and I got a chance to observe my pets when they Abbie or Ashley arrive to take them for a walk…. My dogs get so excited to see them. You can tell that they genuinely care about animals. Also, they take the best photos of my fur babies!!

I love this place for my fur baby! He also loves it here as well. I appreciate the love and care he receives during daycare. They let him bring a blanket and toy from home for down time. He also has his breakfast here which we bring from home and have no issues. I love checking instagram and seeing little clips from Ozzy’s day. He gets in the car and falls asleep instantly from being worn out! I recommend to anyone worried or nervous about daycare/boarding their dog. Ozzy had two unfavorable daycare experiences prior to coming here that caused him anxiety and upset stomach. He hasn’t had a problem since starting here. The facilities are also clean and well taken care of.
