Susan's Pet Boarding and Daycare

Our dog came home smelling strongly of urine and feces. I brought plenty of food, yet was told it was all used, which doesn’t make sense. He was returned noticeably thinner, low energy, and unwell. The overall condition and care were very concerning. I would not recommend this place

I had a deeply unsettling experience with this business. I do not believe they were sanitary or hygienic at all. I’m not sure if the home has a smell or if the owners would let my dog roll around in his own filth, but my dog smelled like urine/feces. The smell was so pungent that it leads me to believe that my dog was left unbathed for an extended period, or even kept up in a room without access to use the bathroom. I also provided a large amount of food for my dog but the owner said she used all of it (I don’t believe that). I wouldn’t have minded them keeping extra food for other dogs that may need it, but I think the owner just kept it without giving it to my dog at all. I think this because later with me at the dog park his poop had blood in it. He was at peak health before this and the only time he has ever pooped blood is when his diet is switched to a different brand. Other than that he was sad, lethargic, and not his usual self. I chose this business thinking that since they have dogs of their own, they would treat my dog with genuine care. For anyone looking for their dogs to be provided with attention, and a clean, safe environment, I would avoid this business. I surely will never bring my dog here again.

We picked up our dog from Susan and Michael’s home. He was returned to us in poor condition, very thin and smelled like urine and feces. We originally gave them a lot of dog food and when we picked him up they said he ate it all which was obviously not true.

I cannot recommend Susan’s Pet Boarding and Daycare enough! For years, I have been taking my large, easily-excited (and dog reactive) 80lb American Bully to them every time I leave town, and I always leave them with peace of mind knowing that everything will be okay. They are experienced, know what they are doing, are easy to reach and effective effective communicators, and check in with me every so often to let me know how things are going. It is a tremendous relief knowing I have a good boarder to take my dog to when I need to leave town!
