Barksville

Brought my pup Charlie here for the first time and he had an absolute blast! I absolutely loved getting the report card and pictures they sent over. They even included the names of the friends he made on his first day. We will definitely be bringing him back on a weekly basis. The staff was super friendly on check-in and explained the whole process to us. Charlie instantly felt comfortable with them. Thanks for taking care of my little guy!!

If you have a stressy dog like we do, finding a daycare/boarding spot can be difficult - but our pup absolutely ADORES Barksville and never looks back when we drop her off. The staff is so wonderful and really cares about the dogs, and even knows them by name and recognizes owners at the door. It’s great that they have a little outdoor area with baby pools in the summer as well as crate free cozy areas for boarding. I love the report cards and social media presence as a fun bonus.

We've officially be going to Barksville Chicago for 3 weeks now and our puppy loves it! He get's so excited when he knows he's going to the back. They provide a mid-day report card so you can see what your little one is up to and he is always smiles. I was having issues with the app at first but their team so helpful in getting everything taken care of. We love Barksville and so glad to have you in the community!

We love Barksville. We made the mistake of briefly switching from their services when a spot at a closer daycare opened up. The people and facility were no comparison for Barksville and we had to switch back. I know my dog is well taken care of all day and the pictures we receive every time she is there proves it. What is really special though is the people. Jonathon, the owner, is frequently there at pick up and drop off and always remembers us. The staff is very sweet, knowledgeable and helpful. Love them!

We just boarded our 2 lunatics (Moto-Surf & Bindi) for 4 nights at Barksville and it went great! We've had a few bad experiences with dog sitters, including escapes, so my partner was very nervous leaving them. The owner (Jonathan) met her and answered all her questions. He has thought of everything - double gate system in the lobby, pressurized door that only opens inward, solid wood fencing outside. They had 2 trial daycare days before the big long weekend. On the day of boarding drop-off, when my partner put Moto in the car first, Bindi lost her absolute mind wanting to go too. She even climbed on the manager and gave her kisses on arrival. Bindi is a very stranger-danger dog who is suspicious of everyone, so that was nice to see! They sent report cards and photos every day, sometimes twice, showing them playing, napping and eating their PB Kongs & pup cups. We didn't even feel the need to call and check on them. The price was much more reasonable than most other places we checked too. We will be using Barksville for all our boarding needs in the future! Thanks guys!

Literally couldn't imagine sending our pup anywhere else! Barksville is amazing. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. The dogs are adorable! Our little man runs in and doesn’t even say goodbye because he loves it so much! I LOVE the midday report card and photos. I’m so sad that we’re moving and unfortunately won’t be able to send him anymore. If you’re looking for doggy daycare/boarding, look no further than Barksville! I’d give this place 10 stars if I could.

We absolutely love Barksville! 🐾 Our golden retriever, Nala, has the best time every time she goes. The fact that it's crate-free is a huge plus for us, and the outdoor yard is such a nice touch—Nala can take a break and enjoy some fresh air. She always gets the Zoomies when she's there, which we love to see! The best part is that they separate the dogs by temperament instead of size. Some days Nala is full of energy and needs to play with the more active dogs, while other days, she wants to chill and relax, and it's great that they accommodate whatever mood she's in. The owner, Jonathan, is super welcoming and really takes the time to understand your dog's needs. The staff is friendly and genuinely cares for the dogs, which makes us feel so comfortable leaving Nala in their hands. We also love the daily report cards with photos—they're a great way to see how much fun our pup is having without us. Nala has made so many friends here, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Highly recommend Barksville to anyone looking for a safe, fun, and loving place for their dog! 🐶💛
