Meeow Chicago - Lincoln Park

I was nervous to board my cats for the first time ever due to renovations happening in our home, but we had a great experience at Meeow Chicago! The staff provided me with photo updates everyday, in addition to live video into their suite. They were also very flexible when setting up the booking, as our plans changed and we had to add extra days after making the initial reservation. It was such a relief to know my boys were safe and well taken care of!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Meeow Chicago! They have been grooming my 2 Persian cats for 14 years, and I would never even consider going anywhere else. They are consistently kind, professional, knowledgeable, timely, and genuinely caring with both pets and owners. Persians require very specialized grooming, and the team at Meeow Chicago truly knows what they’re doing. My cats always come home looking beautiful and well cared for, and I completely trust them. Their friendliness and attention to detail have kept me coming back year after year. I most highly recommend Meeow Chicago to anyone looking for exceptional cat grooming services!

I boarded my girls (ages 5 and 8) at Meeow Chicago in Lincoln Park for the first time this past January 2025. It was for 10 days total and was a great experience for both me and my babies. Their apartment had ample toys, climbing opportunities, places to rest, bird TV (which my eldest cat liked to watch), and a bubble window (through which my youngest cat liked to watch other cats and the staff). Their space had a PetCube so I was able to check in on my cats and use the PetCube's interactive laser to play with them. The staff was amazing and sent me daily photos (some are included in this review). I think the cost of boarding them at Meeow Chicago is well worth the price. I trust the staff and plan to board them again there with my future travels. I highly recommend their services!

I am over the moon happy with the service from Meow Chicago! Jennifer was fabulous and my little kitty is so happy to be clean and mat free! I don’t have a car and so having pick up and delivery right in front of my building was so convenient! I will definitely be using this service on a regular basis!

Oh my! I was so nervous about having my cat groomed again as we had less than happy outcomes the first two times he was groomed. And, he's such a baby about strangers and unfamiliar noises. But even with daily brushing, he really needed a professional grooming. Vicky did an amazing job with Rocky. He was skittish but she says he behaved well. She had to shave a few mats but didn't overdo it, and now his coat looks great. Rocky has been scheduled for a followup session in a few months. Thank you!

Her calm, attentive, and compassionate approach made a world of difference, not only for my cat, but for me as well. My partner and I unfortunately had a negative experience here and would not recommend this cat hotel to those we know. Our older cat needs to be medicated daily due to chronic illnesses, which also causes him to experience incontinence. My partner confirmed these details with the staff, who said that they would be able to take care of him and keep him and his area clean. We sent along blankets, multiple pee pads that we place on top of those, his favorite toys, etc. When we picked him up, all of his toys and blankets were coated in cat poop from him becoming incontinent and it never being cleaned (photos of a few toys are included here - In general, we also were not expecting them to pack poop cover items back into our bag). This was very upsetting to see, considering we booked him here for several days. In addition, we only received one photo per day, in which we noticed that our cat looked very distressed and abnormally scared. We tried to chalk this up to being a new location for him, but it was out of the norm and knowing what we know now, we’re unsure that he felt safe and taken care of. We’ve now had him back home for a few days, and he has been exhibiting many behaviors of extremely stressed cats, which he has not done after any other experience (and being that he is an older cat, he is well traveled and has stayed in many places, so this is not usual for him). I feel like we trusted the wrong people with our cat, and I wouldn’t be able to confidently tell family or friends to book here. Smaller details - they do not allow you to see them while they get your cat settled, so you don’t get to see where they end up, and the limited photos they send do not show much of the space. Litter is an extra charge as well, which we assumed would be included since it’s a basic need for all cats and you’re booking a hotel stay for a cat…not a lot of money, just odd.
