Hounds Town - Columbia

The team here does a great job caring for my dog. They pay attention to each dog’s temperament and needs and I know she is well cared for here and is matched with dogs that share her energy level each visit so she can enjoy safe play and socialization. The staff build a relationship with your dog, it doesn’t just feel transactional. She got a bath today and looked so good afterwards! And they gave her a cute bandana for St. Patrick’s day 🙂 thank you Houndstown Columbia team! Grateful for your care for my fur baby!

Hounds Town is by far the best dog daycare in the area! The staff is caring, professional, and truly treats every dog like family. My puppy always comes home happy, tired, and well cared for. Before coming here, I took my dog to Waggy Lounge and unfortunately my puppy experienced digestive issues afterward, which was very concerning. Since switching to Hounds Town, I’ve had such a better experience and much more peace of mind. The facility is clean, the communication is great, and you can tell they genuinely care about the dogs’ safety and well-being. I highly recommend Hounds Town to anyone looking for a trustworthy daycare for their pup!

I’m so glad to have found this place. After years of trying several sitters through Rover and going through the exhausting process of coordinating communication (are they a good fit for our dog?) availability (are they available when we need them, especially during emergencies?), affordability (do they charge reasonable fees?), we finally found a solution that ticks all the boxes. We also previously took our dog to a large daycare that eventually closed permanently without any notice. This left us with the same uncertainty we often experienced with individual sitters, never really knowing what was happening behind closed doors. We landed on Hounds Town, and from the very beginning, the staff were welcoming and genuinely excited to meet our dog. Shout out to Jennifer, who did a very thorough job explaining the rules of the facility and giving us a tour of the daycare. She also took time to explain the reasoning behind their overall philosophy, which made us confident that they have a transparent, science-informed approach to handling dogs and a thoughtful, up-to-date understanding of dog behavior and how to keep dogs safe in a group environment. I couldn’t be happier with this place. Their fees are also very reasonable, which makes high-quality care much more accessible. I sincerely hope they stay in business for a long time. I am more than happy to support a place like this!

My dog and I have been very impressed with Houndstown dog daycare. He is excited to be there when we arrive and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I feel confident he is having a good day and being well cared for while he’s there. I appreciate their hours and love seeing my dog on their social media posts.

Ralphie loves going to Hounds Town. He goes for parties, the occasional play day, and all of his grooming and boarding. It’s like a second home, full of friends (with and without fur).

A++ We love it here! My dog is so happy and doesn’t even want to leave at the end of the day. The staff is very friendly and you can tell they’re intentional about their procedures. You can see them cleaning every day and the facility is beautiful. I am glad we found our new doggie daycare!

I have two dogs, one of which is considered a "restricted breed". That dog did not pass an evaluation from another popular dog daycare after 1 hour at their facility. Hounds Town Columbia gave my dog a chance. Since then, both dogs are THRIVING, happier than I have ever seen. They are eager to go and are completely worn out when we get home. The Hounds Town Hangover is real! The staff is so great with every dog I have observed them with. You can tell they care. Even though they just opened, they take the time to get to know every dog. I enjoy the daily photos too! So glad I was able to find this gem! It truly is a place for every dog!
