A Decade of Trust—and a Shoutout to Andrew! We’ve been loyal clients of Canine To Five since the very beginning—one of the first families to join the downtown location when Liz Blondy opened her doors. Over the years, this team has cared for three of our beloved dogs, and every experience has reinforced why we consider this place a second home. It’s always been clean, safe, reliable, and deeply accommodating. But this week, Andrew truly raised the bar. While we were out of town, he stepped in with extraordinary care and compassion to help our children and a close family member navigate the quirks and routines of our two golden retrievers—no small feat, especially during inclement weather and an unexpected change in plans. For folks who aren’t used to handling pets (let alone two energetic goldens!), Andrew’s calm, clear guidance made all the difference. He ensured smooth drop-offs and pick-ups at the Jefferson location and treated our family with the same warmth and professionalism we’ve come to expect from Canine To Five. If there’s a way to nominate Andrew for Employee of the Year, please point me in the right direction—because as far as I’m concerned, he’s already earned it. Thank you, Andrew, for going above and beyond. You made a stressful week so much easier, and we’re incredibly grateful.

Love love the groomer. She does a great job and very friendly! The desk staff always nice! But the new policy of not having an appt for grooming is very hard! A first come first serve policy seems ineffective. When I get my hair cut I have an appt., why is this different. I wish we could make an appt for a set time for my 4 dogs!

Took my pup here for the first time today for daycare. Everyone is so amazing and reassuring. She is a rescue so I was nervous, but had no reason to be! I can check on her on my phone because they have cameras and are all very good with knowing dog behaviors, keeping pups safe. 100% recommend!

Chanel did a great job with my Judah, considering it was his first professional grooming experience. He seemed to be okay with most of what was done. He looked like a little fluffy teddy bear when I saw him. I love it. thanks Chanel

We love taking our Whiskey here for playtime while we’re busy or away for the day! The staff are truly amazing and make every dog feel like their favorites! The convenience of being close to home and the flexible drop off times make it an even better fit! 100% recommend the Eastside Canine to Five location!

I have been taking my dog Archie to Canine to Five midtown Detroit for many years, starting when he was a puppy in doggy daycare to now ongoing grooming appointments. I was excited to check out the new east side Detroit location after it opened. Transitioning between locations was seamless and Archie still got the great haircut I knew to expect from the midtown location! Highly recommend checking out all the canine to five spots!

My Duke is very timid and he appears to be the intimidator, but he’s a sweetheart, nervous, and a little scared of noises or fast movements. They recognize this immediately and decided to work with him and get him comfortable with being around other dogs and people for socialization. I greatly appreciate that and he will be returning on a routine basis. My husband found Duke in a field at about 2 1/2 months tied to a tree with a belt as a collar and he definitely goes into a shell from being mistreated like that .
