Dog's Day Farm: Cage-Free Premium Retreat

Baylor had a wonderful first day of daycare! The drop-off and pick-up instructions were easy to follow and the actual process went smoothly. Baylor typically has a serious look, but when he’s excited, he has his mouth wide open smiling. We don’t get to see it too often, but through the photos sent to us today about his visit, his big smile came out - which made us so happy! The staff at Dogs Day Farm sent us a couple thorough updates on his first day which comforted us that we made the right choice. He has been napping the rest of day and we are so glad we found somewhere he can use up all his energy. We look forward to more play time!

The facility is gorgeous and the staff takes great care to watch over the dogs and keep them happy and comfortable. I got updates twice daily, with photos! I felt very relieved knowing my dog was cared for while I was away. Edit: 2 months later I took Daisy back - she has never been so excited to get somewhere! She didn't even look back at me to say goodbye! I'll never board her anywhere else.

I am so thankful I found Dog's Day Farm. It is 90 minutes from our home but it's worth every minute of the drive to take her to a quality location where I am confident my dog is well taken care of and so very happy to be there. I know I am a little over the top as far as my expectations but Dog's Day Farm meets every one.

The team and facilities at Dog’s Day are absolutely worth the drive from DC! From our dog’s initial evaluation, it was clear that safety for all the dogs was absolutely paramount to the Dog’s Day staff. And a very close second was fostering a fun, enriching environment! The staff is easy to get in touch with and sends photo & text updates during his stay, always showing him having an absolute blast, playing with other dogs, running around with toys, or perfectly relaxed hanging comfortably around the facility. Can’t recommend them enough for boarding and daycare!

I can't say enough good things about Dog's Day Farm. They know and love dogs. They take time to introduce new dogs and provide the highest level of care and attention. The staff is wonderful and checks in every day, even for day visits. Add the fact that there are open fields for the dogs to run and play and you've got canine paradise! I like to take my pup there for a day visit every week or two just because he loves it so much. Do your dog a favor!

Dog day farm has been simply amazing with our furry family member. They're communication with text and pix updates have been always consistent. We trust them immensely. I look at them as being part of our doggy village. Our dog has stayed for long periods of time in dog day farms care and we know that she's always been relaxed and very happy. She also comes home very happy and a little tired - all good! We hope she'll be at Dogs Day for many years to come!!

It's coming up on about a year that I've been using Dog's Day Farm. And probably time to write a full review. For me, Dog's Day Farm is probably one of the best places I've ever left my dog for boarding. As a frequent traveler for work. I need good, safe overnights for my Chesapeake Bay Retriever. And a place to run is a bonus. From the beginning the "meet and greet" where they are very selective in the dogs they take was impressive. They have a very large farm with various areas for the dogs to play. They don't have kennels and advertise as so. But that's not really something I care that much about, because my dog is kennel trained. Because of that, however, you are going to pay more for the staff to spend the night with your dog. They apparently sleep anywhere they want-- on lofts, under stairs, on cots and maybe even with a human, etc. Which I think is kind of funny. What I like is they take the time every day to take photos of your dog playing with her friends. And they tell me how she slept each night. These young people that work with the dogs are super. You can tell they really love them. And I feel so grateful to them for caring for Rosemary. Most important to me is their vetting process for dogs. They will not take any aggressive dogs. And I love that. My dog was attacked in Chicago by two dogs. And it caused her to be rather submissive and sometimes nervous when she gets around more than one dog. She is not nervous at Dog's Day. She has friends and plays with them. I can trust that they will not allow any dog they see is aggressive to board there or stay for daycare. This is not something you get at every daycare and that is why even though I find the prices a little steep, (and sometimes the monthly bill feels like a mortgage!) I can rest assured when I'm away that my dog is well cared for. And that peace of mind is worth it.
