Northern Stars K-9 Resort & Spa

We rely upon and highly recommend Northern Stars Kennel for training, daycare and boarding. It has only been a positive environment for our young doodle (golden) since she was a puppy. The staff is wonderful and caring and it shows by how she loves going to Northern Stars. She been through the puppy training classes and is now attends day care on a regular basis and often is an overnight guest. Can't image our young doodle getting care anywhere else (except home, of course).

We can’t say enough about our wonderful experiences at Northern Stars K-9 Resort! We have always had the peace of mind that our dog is loved and cared for by the wonderful staff and owners. Our pup is happy to run up to the doors not only for daycare but for boarding too! She is always greeted with a warm hug and a familiar face. The owners/staff are extremely accommodating, responsive and informative about our dog’s stay. We appreciate all of their hard work and trust that she gets the very best care in a loving facility such as this one. We rate them with 5 stars for sure!!

I took my dog here every week for doggy day care for 9 months. In those 9 months, I boarded her several times. There were never any issues and the staff was great. However, the owner was crass every time I spoke with her. But I ignored it since the rest of the staff was great and my dog seemed to like going there. Then the last time I boarded my dog, the owner said that my dog was very fearful of her and, as a result, she wasn’t allowed back unless the "normal staff" was working. My dog has never been fearful of anyone else before or since. So now I take my dog somewhere else that she loves.

I drive from Saint Paul to take our dog to Northern Stars when we need to board him. I cannot describe adequately how much better Northern Stars is for boarding than the other places we had tried. I guess the proof is that our dog does not scratch at the floor, whine and pull toward us when we try to leave him. Instead, he merrily goes with the staff back into the boarding area. Apparently he remembers the place and remembers he has such great time. The staff and the care are exceptional, for the amount of play time, complementary bath, and photos on Facebook -- it's a great place.

I have used Northern Stars for 3 years. Berlynn, my German Shepherd loves it there. She gets excited, just pulling into their driveway. I can not say enough positive things about this business. The owner and her manager are top shelf. Very knowledgeable about handling, training, grooming, boarding, etc. The facility is absolutely immaculate, in every aspect. The dog isn't just shoved into a pen or crate, they're placed in their own room. They're very in tune and attentive to Berlynn's every need. We have taken advantage of classes they've offered, play days, daycare and extended stays while we go on vacation. It's such a security for us to know, that she's got top notch care, from the minute we've dropped her off, till we pick her up. I suggest you go to their website, to familiarize yourself with the services they offer and so you can see their rooms, therapy swimming pool, prices, etc. Honestly, don't hesitate to take your fur baby here. You won't regret it.

I have been bringing my dogs here for boarding and training-the staff is amazing, very knowledgeable, and I never worry when I have to go out of town! My dogs get personalized attention and I can even view pictures of their stay online. Thanks Joy and staff for doing such a great job!! Will be back for sure! Highly recommend!

My dog Hunter loves to go to Northern stars. He has a great time playing with the dogs and the staff are wonderful. The staff spend time with Hunter and bring any issues to my attention. He comes home tired. I love the pictures on Facebook.
