The Ark Pet Spa & Hotel - Huntsville

I had a really disappointing experience with this grooming service today. I brought my dog in and clearly showed the groomer an example photo, along with specific instructions for how I wanted his haircut done. When I arrived to pick him up, my dog—who can be anxious—was visibly distressed and eager to leave. While I was checking out, I heard the groomer yelling at another dog, and another employee had to step in and tell him to be quiet because a customer was present. That alone was very concerning. Unfortunately, the grooming itself was not what I asked for at all. My dog’s paws were shaved down to the point that his paw pads are cut up, and they continue to bleed when he walks on concrete. His nails were also trimmed too short and were bleeding when we got home. I specifically asked for certain things to be avoided, and those requests were ignored. I also paid for a fresh breath treatment that was not done. This experience was upsetting, and worst of all, my dog is now in pain because of it. I will be including photos of his paws and nails. I would not recommend this groomer based on my experience.

Can’t say enough good things about this facility! We started bringing our pup Juniper in December and she absolutely loves coming to doggy daycare. We had tried out a few other doggy daycares in the area before coming here and every time I left our girl I just was worried the whole time, the facilities always smelled like pee, the kennels were dark, dingy, and cold ,and the customer service was never the best. This place is definitely top notch! I always feel comfortable when we drop her off, knowing that she is going to be well taken care of. Donnie, the manager is the nicest and most accommodating with the best customer service ,he keeps the facility so clean, and you can tell he and the other staff enjoy being there. Thank you Donnie and all the staff for taking such great care of our girl!

The front desk attendant & groomer were both very friendly. My dog was in and out in just two hours. She looks and smells great. Thanks again.

We love Dustin! Our Doodle,Pippa, is a regular Dustin does a wonderful job and we have changed her cut several times over the years he is always up to try something new and always makes sure that I am happy with the outcome. My Heeler, Django, Doesn’t get groomed as often but he gets so excited when we pull up at the ark. He always looks and smells amazing. Our spaniel, Yoshi,is still a puppy so he’s only been a couple of times he is just getting used to the sounds of the groomer Dustin is patient in helping desensitizing Yoshi to what could be scary sounds for such a young dog. He helps keep Yoshi feet from becoming grinch feet and keeps his coat looking and smelling amazing.

I can really tell a difference in the new management, the new staff are great and actually give me feedback and stories about the stay. I just wish they would bring back the video feed so I can see my girls playing. Keep up the good work!

Dustin was fabulous with our scared Mini Aussie - he took his time getting to know her and groomed her despite all her hangups. We will definitely be returning for his services!

We had the pleasure of dropping off/ picking up our friend’s dog Chloe for grooming. Well the arc did a five star job on her. Didn’t think she could be any cuter💕
