The minimal staff is friendly, at one time, I bet this place was amazing and booming. Now the only things going for them is location and the fact that they are the cheapest place around town. But remember you pay for what you get. Don’t expect staff to be in the main entrance when you want to drop off your dog, don’t expect anyone to ever answer the phone, don’t expect an in depth activity schedule, it seems to me they run the whole place with no more than 2 staff members at a time, and

I have not been to Lucky Dog in awhile since we moved further away. I brought in my senior dog for grooming and we had a very attentive and accommodating experience. She looks great!

I have needed to board my dog Milo quite a bit over the last few years, and Lucky Dogs makes me feel like he is safe and cared for when I am gone. The staff are all amazing and create a very welcoming atmosphere for both you and your best little buddies.

My doodle dog has been coming to Lucky Dog once a week for 3 years. He comes home tired and happy. The staff have gotten to know me and my dog and understand his quirky personality. My dog looks forward to going to daycare, and I know he’s well cared for.

Even though I had my boarding reservation for months prior to the boarding with an exit bath booked. I was informed when I picked Sophie up that she did not receive a bath and I asked when and she believed they were short staffed and while she said she could give her a quick bath while I waited that was not acceptable. If they knew they had time the morning of pick up a quick call for me to pick up an hour later would have been appreciated rather than no bath at all. Felt they were disorganized at pick up as well. Running back and forth between rooms to gather Sophie’s items (a bone, remaining food, and her tote bag)

This was the first time we took our dog to Lucky dog retreat. She had her nail trimmed. She was totally at ease and was in and out in 15 minutes. We'll be back again.

We brought our dog here for his first day and watched the webcam, only to see him roaming alone in a separate room while a few other dogs were crated. When I called, a staff member explained that he was shaking and scared and they were trying to help him acclimate. I asked how long he would be alone and was told about an hour, or until another staff member could come in because the front desk also needed coverage. I asked if we should pick him up and try again another day, but was told they couldn’t guarantee he would receive much individualized attention or care—so neither option felt reassuring for a nervous puppy. We made a mistake thinking we should give it another try the following day. We dropped him off for about 3.5 hours but were charged for a full day (this was refunded after a few emails). After about 3 hours, we received a text saying they were closing soon and hoped we were on our way because our dog had an upset stomach incident. He was clearly stressed, so we picked him up right away. To be fair, he did get some good playtime with other dogs and the staff supervising the playroom seemed fine. However, communication at the front desk felt a bit unclear at times. We were also told our promised 10% discount hadn’t been applied and that the manager would need to fix it, which added to the confusion. We shared an honest review based on our first experience. We understand daycare environments are busy and challenging, and we appreciate that staff care about the dogs. Ultimately, the setup wasn’t the right fit for our anxious pup. We wish the team the best and hope they continue improving communication for new clients.
