Ive taken my little bud Tintin for grooming at the West La dogs - Small Dog building a couple of times now, and he always comes out of there happy and fresh! The staff and groomers are super friendly and nice to me and certainly my dog! He never seems to be shaky or nervous when we go there which is a great sign. Would certainly recommend them for their grooming services!!

Only been three times with my pup for daycare, but he knows the place now and is excited the moment we walk in the door. The staff is communicative, friendly but clear about policies, and hard working. The place can get busy, but I like that because it means my pup has lots of playmates. They have a huge facility that is dedicated to small dogs, probably the largest small dog area in Los Angeles. So far this place has been a very good choice.

I loved West LA Dogs at first and love the front desk staff, but at some point something shifted in the yard. It seems there's too many dogs with not enough staff and a lot of newer staff coming in that don't get proper training. Having worked at a daycare before, I was very disappointed in how they handled my dog's issues that came on suddenly after no problems in 6 months going there. Once I secured the footage, one seemed to be due to a lack of training of staff and was not his fault, and there was no accountability taken on their part just blaming my dog completely. I also rarely got photos of him unless I asked.

West LA dogs is so incredible. I have been bringing my pup there for the last 4 months and have loved it. I spent a lot of time searching around town and they have the best prices. When I drop him off, he gets so excited as soon as we park and jumps out of the car to get playing. The staff is so nice and loves all the dogs. They even send you pics during the day if you’d like 🙂 absolutely recommend this place if you are looking for your puppy to have a good time 🙂

So happy to have found this place. We moved to LA from Brooklyn and were looking for a daycare that is hands-on and experienced especially with a variety of breeds - I have a very rambunctious mini bull terrier. The people at West LA pay such close attention to your pup and you can tell they really love being around them. Great place - would absolutely recommend!!

I went back and forth about writing this because I really liked West LA Dogs for a long time. To be fair, I even waited months and tried another daycare before posting this, and since leaving in September 2025, my dog has been going to Wags Club regularly with zero behavioral issues. Before that, my dog was a regular here for about a year and a half—daycare twice a week and boarding 4–6 times a year. Toward the end, we started getting messages about her being "too excited," nipping, or snapping. What was confusing is that these incidents were very spaced out, especially given how often she was there, and didn’t seem consistent or escalating. We were then told they may need to "reconsider her social status," meaning she’d be removed from group play and placed in separated daycare for an extra fee. Based on how sporadic the feedback had been, it felt like a sudden shift and left me feeling like she was being singled out toward the end. I did ask if someone from management could reach out to talk it through, but never received a follow up, which was disappointing. It’s also disappointing because we had many positive experiences, but based on the contrast, I do think environment or handling may play a role. I’d recommend asking detailed questions if any concerns come up.

I absolutely love this place and will recommend to anyone and everyone!! I’ve been taking my dog Ziggy since the day I moved to LA in 2021 and they are so beyond attentive and communicative with me while she’s there. I always feel so secure leaving her there even if I’m gone for days because I know they will take such good care of her. Ziggy also loves it there and perks up every time we turn onto Colby Ave!
