GreyHaven Exotic Pet Boarding

Deborah and her long-time helper took marvelous care of Miss Prickles. I had to travel not long after Miss Prickles had a hind leg amputated. Prickles wasn’t fully recovered yet, but Deborah was totally reassuring, checked in with me every day, and took the absolute best care possible of Miss P. I would not trust my exotics with anyone else. Where else can you have a zookeeper take care of your zoo for you? To know that my girl was fed a species appropriate diet, at appropriate hours (nocturnal), cage cleaned, and her enrichment swapped out every day… it allowed me to travel without fear.

We found GreyHaven Exotic Pet Boarding when our Avian Vet retired last June. We drove 1 1/2 to meet Deborah & tour the facility. Never have I been so completely comfortable with leaving my African Grey with someone. You can see the love she has for her boarders. And, the care provided is exceptional. The drive is long but knowing my boy is well cared for is worth it.

McTabish, my Yellow Naped Amazon (47 years old) always receives excellent nail and beak trimmings from Deborah. Deborah always gives great advice and I know she deeply cares about animals. If I ever have to board McTabish, it will be at Greyhaven.

I truly can’t say enough good things about Deborah and Greyhaven Exotic Pet Boarding. I have a green cheek conure, and Deborah and Amy are the only people I fully trust to care for my bird. Deborah’s background with the Nashville Zoo is clear in the depth of her knowledge and genuine compassion for exotic animals. She even prepares fresh, homemade food for the birds while they’re in her care. What stands out most is her dedication, during the ice storm, she made sure every animal stayed warm, even while her own home was without power. That level of commitment speaks volumes. Deborah is an incredible person, and we are so fortunate to have her here in Nashville.

My bird died in their care. Deborah went out of town and left my birds with someone who has another full time job who barely watched them. It was during that time my bird died. She also failed to notify me that he died until several days later when I called insisting for an update. Her excuse for not telling me was that she didn’t want to ruin my vacation. When I came home I received a text from her basically saying ‘we didn’t do anything wrong’. Zero compassion or accountability. This person is a complete narcissist. I would not leave my pets here.

I have never boarded with Deb. However she helped me acquire my bird. She regularly checked in on him after I got him. I know she truly cares for the animals in her possession. I genuinely respect her and think she is one of the best people I have met in the industry.

GreyHaven is the only place we take our green cheek conure Tibby! Mrs. Deborah is absolutely amazing… she has a wealth of experience and cares deeply for all of boarders and families. We are so grateful for GreyHaven!
