I’ve brought my poodle mix here multiple times for grooming and have consistently felt frustrated with how quickly shaving is presented as the only option whenever even minor tangles or knots are found. I understand matting can be serious and groomers need to prioritize a dog’s comfort and safety, but my dog is groomed every six weeks and brushed regularly at home. Most recently, I brought him in for a bath and was told they were uncomfortable proceeding because he was supposedly too matted. Concerned, I immediately took him to another groomer for a second opinion, where they told me he only had a few small knots, nothing severely matted or close to the skin, and they were able to bathe and groom him without issue. He looked amazing afterward. This experience made me feel like there may be a difference in grooming philosophy here, particularly around handling minor tangles versus recommending shaving or declining service. The staff has always been kind, but after multiple similar experiences, I no longer feel confident bringing my dog here for grooming services.

My dog did not pass his evaluation but the handlers at Bark Public House treated his behavior with skill, compassion and concern. Not once did I sense judgement or reprimand. Instead, we received care, swift communication and encouragement. "Maybe this isn't the right time," the owner said. If a better time emerges, I will take my much calmer, better regulated dog right back to where I know he will be treated with positive reinforcement.

After watching the camera, it’s clear this daycare isn’t a good fit for high-energy breeds. Most of the dogs were sitting around and not actively playing. I have an 8-month-old shepherd who loves to play and is great with other dogs. While he does get excited and does hump at times, he responds to corrections and moves on. The handlers corrected him not only for humping but also for normal play behavior. It seems their expectation is for dogs to remain calm and inactive rather than engage in play, and they group dogs by size rather than energy level. Moving forward, I’ll be sticking with Yardstick for daycare.

My dog had a great first day! Super friendly staff, great care for all the dogs, and he came home happy and tired. The pup cams are so much fun to watch! Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We use this location for dog boarding during the holidays. Our dogs are older, so we do have concerns about their needs. Thankfully, the staff at Bark Public House give our dogs the care and attention we’d hope for. The prices have increased some since we started using them two years ago, but still in range with other boarding options. From watching the cameras, it’s clear that the dogs are given plenty of attention and time outside of their kennels. We chose to add a birthday party bash ($25) for our dogs this past visit and we were provided with ADORABLE pictures. Highly recommend this location for boarding or day care.
