Barkhouse is by far the best doggy daycare we have tried in the city. The facility is beautiful and so clean. The staff is so kind and they send photos and videos throughout the day, which puts me at ease. The team is very thoughtful and they get to know your pup and understand if they need a little break or a nap. They also cut my pup’s nails while he is there for the day. I would highly recommend giving Barkhouse a try!

We absolutely love Barkhouse! We’ve been bringing our puppy, Dory, since she finished her puppy vaccines, and we couldn’t be happier with the care she receives! The owners and staff are incredibly attentive, caring, and clearly love what they do! They send us pictures of Dory throughout the day, which always makes us smile, and it’s obvious she’s having the best time! The facility is clean, well-maintained, and they do an amazing job accommodating her puppy nap schedule and individual needs. Knowing Dory is safe, happy, and so well cared for gives us complete peace of mind!

Barkhouse is truly the BEST thing that has happened to Manhattan 🎉We recently got a Vizsla puppy, Gracie, who is now 5 months old, and we fell in love with this place instantly. They offer a complimentary first daycare session, which is incredibly helpful when you’re trying new spots for your puppy. Also — their staff is simply out of this world: the nicest, most caring, genuinely dog-loving people (how did they put together such a dream team?!). My husband and I also met the owners, and we immediately felt completely safe leaving our pup in their care. We’ve had many daycare visits at Barkhouse (best part — you can even just walk in and they take care of the rest!), as well as several boarding stays — including 8 days, 3 days, and others. Every single time, our puppy came back the happiest ever. And I don’t even want to start on how aesthetically beautiful the space is… the curated selection of toys, grooming items, and décor is just perfection. Our Gracie (and her parents, of course) are the biggest fans — if you couldn’t tell! ❤️

Can’t recommend Barkhouse enough. We dropped one of our dogs off for a full day of daycare while visiting family in the city, and she had the best time! When we came to pick her up, she barely even noticed us walk in (which is so rare for her). Everyone was so attentive and thoughtful. They send updates throughout the day, which we loved. I’m pretty sure you can also check in on the dogs via livestream too. It’s so clear that everyone (the owners and employees alike!) there genuinely cares about the dogs. Doesn’t hurt that the space itself is gorgeous and well laid out too. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be bringing Mimsy back anytime we’re in the city. WOW! Truly 10/10. I am so so grateful to have found BarkHouse. Jeffrey Carlson and his team are absolutely incredible. You can immediately tell how much care and intention they put into their facility and, most importantly, into every dog and owner who walks through the door. I recently adopted a young shelter dog who needs structure, patience, and guidance, and Jeffrey has been nothing short of amazing. He’s consistently kind, encouraging, and incredibly hands-on, often working with my dog during daycare to reinforce training and positive behaviors. He always has thoughtful feedback to share, which has made such a difference for both of us. I honestly love taking my dog to daycare here because I look forward to it just as much as he does (yes, really). From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming and positive. Every single person on the team is warm, welcoming, and truly cares (Jeffery, Gabriella, Miriam ALL the dog handlers). And, my dog absolutely loves coming here, he gets excited the moment we turn the corner toward BarkHouse, which says everything. This is THE most premium doggy daycare in New York City. It truly feels like a second home for my pup. I couldn’t recommend BarkHouse more highly!

Barkhouse is absolutely amazing! I first used them for boarding during a last-minute work trip and was immediately blown away by how attentive and wonderful the team is. They sent regular photo/video updates and kept me informed the entire time I was away, which gave me such peace of mind. It’s rare to find a place that actually loves your dog as much as you do, but the staff here truly cares and provides such genuine, professional service. I walked in needing a one-time sitter and was so impressed that I ended up purchasing a daycare membership. If you’re looking for a team that is kind, professional, and treats your dog like family, this is it!

I cannot recommend Barkhouse enough! As a brand-new facility, they are already setting a gold standard for pet care in NYC. Our experience started on a high note when the owner, Jeffrey, personally took us on a guided tour for nearly 45 minutes. He was incredibly transparent, showing us every single corner of the facility, nothing was off-limits. It was so reassuring to see that all the dogs there seemed genuinely happy. The facility itself is stunning. It’s super clean and, remarkably, doesn't have any of that typical "doggy daycare smell." You can tell the staff truly love what they do and prioritize what’s best for the pups. This is definitely a premium boarding and daycare option. A few highlights that stood out: Every dog gets a Casper dog bed, so they are truly sleeping in luxury. For boarding, you can choose a communal pack environment or opt for an individual private kennel. The private spaces are tucked away in a cozy lamp lit area. They’ll outfit the kennels with whatever your pet needs to feel safe and comfortable. While our dog was there for daycare to get acclimated to the boarding environment, the communication was stellar. We received frequent, proactive updates on how he was settling in, which helped ease our anxious helicopter dog-parent minds. We are so grateful that Barkhouse has opened, we wouldn't dream of boarding our pup anywhere else in NYC.
