Our 5.4 lb maltipoo, Mac came home with poop covered toys, his crate with dry pee in it and. A pee soaked blanket and poop stuck to his butt. He was so dehydrated he drank so much water when he got home he then threw up and was lethargic. We immediately gave him a bath and applied tick and flea medication we rushed out and bought and let him just rest while my son cried thinking his dog was sick or not going to be okay. He was the opposite of his normal self when we picked him up. Mac is a very happy, healthy, loving, and energetic 1 1/2 year old pup who is full of love and life. This was after we had the worst day traveling back from Florida and were told we had until 8:30 pm to grab him when we got back which we have text messages from her employee stating that and when we arrived to get him no one was onsite and the dogs were just howling and crying. It took numerous texts and calls to finally get some girl and her boyfriend to arrive and give us our Mac. I had done a lot of research and had a 40 min call with Christine months before boarding Mac there and we text daily while gone on our trip. She knew this was our and his first time being away from each other and him being boarded and to get my dog back in this condition and he isn’t acting like himself at all is just devastating. I would not recommend ever to anyone at all especially for a tiny pup. 0/10.

Just picked up my dogs after a week stay. Thank you Pet Companions for great care. The young energetic dog got lots of play time, and the elderly dog got lots of extra love. I could tell both dogs liked their care-givers. We'll be back.

Christine was excellent and professional. She has skill and knowledge that needs to be pet sitter. My puppy was taken good care of while we’ve gone. I will definitely use this boarding place next time.

The dogs are happy to visit each time we go. Of course, they are glad when we come back, but they are never stressed the whole time. It's like they're on vacation. We trust Christine exclusively.

We have two very active young dogs and finding and a kennel we could be confident in was a priority. We found that kennel at Pet Companions. Christine and her staff are wonderful. They take great care of our pups giving us the comfort of knowing our guys are in good hands. Our dogs enthusiasm when arriving there to be dropped off is a testament of how they enjoy it. We highly recommend Pet Companions Country Inn.

PCCI is my ONLY place for my pups. I started using them over 12 years ago when I moved here and have never looked back. My dogs get so excited to stay over at "family". The owner and her team are so mindful of the difficulties that come with sensitive pups, be it older dogs wanting space, ones that are nervous or even my current crazy socialite. She is the absolute best hands down.

I brought my rescue dog, a bearded collie sheep dog there a few years back for the first time and was terrified leaving him since he was abused as a puppy--and you hear horror stories about kennels! Christine took time to talk to me and took great care of my baby boy, who consequently has some social issues. He'd improved a lot since I rescued him but he is extremely close to me and fears my leaving him. While as because of that he's always glad to see me and ready to come home, but did very well in Christine's care. Sometimes he's been known not to eat in my absence but she and her staff had him eating and drinking very nicely. They allowed him to amble about within safe parameters until he made friends with other dogs there. Some kennels have high ratings but the actual kennel is dark even with the lighting. For domesticated dogs today, I wouldn't want to be shut away in some strange, noisy dark area most of the day. The dogs do have access to move inside and out freely within their individual kennel. Because of their care I still drive the distance from Lexington to take my dog to this caring environment whenever I have to be away. For anyone who knows about kennels, I highly recommend Pet Companions Country Inn. And good for the owners second to peace of mind is affordability! Shauna C.
