Pete & Mac's Pet Resort Palatine

I love Pete and Mac’s!!!! They are so helpful and my dog can’t wait to go to daycare, we call it "school". On the way there she is so excited! Boarding and grooming are great too!❤️

Our dog goes crazy if we say "Doggy Daycare?" He can't wait to see his freinds and run & play. He gets lots of playtime in the morning and afternoon, he has his own good sized pen to hang out in, rest and eat when he's in his down times. They take great care of him. It's super clean and the staff seems to really love the dogs they care for...they know our dog well and that he loves snuggles. He comes home happy, clean and wiped out. 🙂 We checked out a lot of places in Palatine and this one was a step or two, above the rest.

The staff seemed nice enough when m6 dog stayed but my issue was sanitation. I could smell the urine from the parking lot and when I went to the look at the kennel in the back, the floor was wet with random puddles of water. I will never take my dog there again.

Pete and Mac’s is such and awesome place to take your fur baby’s .I have two that go five days a week and they treat them like family all the staff is so caring.they are always willing to help honestly they helped me out of a very difficult situation and through it all I always new my baby’s couldn’t be in a better place . I read a review from someone who gave them 1 Star I believe they should get ten out of ten I tell everyone to take your fur baby’s to Pete and Mac’s you won’t regret it I love them ❤️

I have been bringing my pup here for 5 years since I got him. They always have looked out for him and he came back tired and satisfied. The value of this place is great compared to other neighboring daycares as well. In a way, I’m sad I’m moving from palatine because I know how much my pup is going to miss going there.

They seem to take good care of the pets here. The dogs are bathed before pick.up

I have been using Pete and Mac's for a couple years now for boarding. I recently boarded my elderly dog 14+ years for about 11 days because of a family trip. I never had issues prior to this and although I was nervous I trusted that he would be in good hands. When I picked him up his nose was bleeding on top which has happened before when he was crated. I noticed he was also not able to open his right eye. I waited a few days and the eye became much much worse, cloudy and pussing. I took him to the vet and it has now been over $350 and counting for his eye due to a laceration. When I called Pete and Mac's they explained he was as trying to get out of his crate and needs a noodle. They did not offer to pay for my vet bills and I feel like this is negligence and that they should have done a better job watching my dog. I still have another follow up visit and I am guessing that this will be close to $500+ for me!!! I already spend my vet $550 to board him! I usually never complain but this is something I feel should have been compensated. Needless to say I will not be using Pete and Mac's again.
