Best dog boarding in San Diego. My dog was so happy here. The dogs are able to walk the property and enjoy the pond. Dave is a great host. We will be boarding our little dog here every time we go on vacation!!

Everything was wonderful during my dog’s stay—this was our third time using this location, and my dog was excited from the moment we arrived, especially crossing the creek and taking in all the natural smells. The pond, open acreage, and peaceful setting make it feel like a true vacation for dogs, which completely removes any guilt about leaving them. This property is an extremely desirable pet-sitting location, offering dogs a safe, enriching environment and pet parents true peace of mind.

Wow!!! What a wonderful place. Dave, the owner, is super nice and very attentive to the needs of the dogs. The property is amazing, so much space for them to run around and even swim! My dog wasn’t cooped up in a kennel like at other places. 5 stars and will be returning. Thank you again Dave!

Dave’s Dog Cave is hands down the best dog boarding spot in Poway. Dave truly cares about every single dog, and it shows in how he runs the place. The property is beautiful — it even sits on a nice-sized pond where the dogs can enjoy the scenery and relax. It’s such a unique, peaceful setup that you won’t find anywhere else. The space is clean, safe, and super welcoming. My dog settled in right away, which says a lot. Dave kept me updated with pictures and little notes, and it made the whole experience stress-free knowing my pup was happy and well taken care of. If you’re looking for a place where your dog will be treated like family, have plenty of room to play, and enjoy an amazing environment by the pond, Dave’s Dog Cave is the spot. Can’t recommend it enough.

My dog loves it here every time we go! He always plays with the other dogs and tires himself out.
