Dogtopia of San Antonio - Alamo Ranch

We love the staff at Dogtopia. The second we walk in the door our pup goes running to them. They do so many great things for the dogs in their care as well. I enjoy watching Archie play on the camera. I won’t lie I’ve had issues with billing when we came back from Archie being neutered however, Nisha and Amanda are great and got the situation handled. When Archie was out recovering from his neuter they kept in contact checking up on him. I’ve posted some photos of what they have done.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this Dogtopia doggy daycare & the staff. From the moment we walked in, I knew JJ, my pup, was in the best hands possible. Nick, August, Mia, & Alyssa have been incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do—it’s clear they treat every dog like their own. Thanks so much for all you do. JJ is in good hands. Definitely recommend this place.

We started taking our pup barney to dogtopia about a month ago and he loves it! they truly care about him like they’re his own. we were super nervous to send him to daycare because he had only ever been around us. every time we take him he’s so excited to see all the girls! he always has the best time. i feel so secure having him there! i can watch him on the cameras and i see how attentive all the staff is for all the pups! the front desk staff is amazing! i always get updates on how he’s doing! they always do the cutest things with the dogs! thank you dogtopia for taking care of our baby!

This place is wonderful. They treat each dog with love and care and they make sure that every dog has enough play time along with enough rest time. This is my dog's favorite place to run around in and he is worn out after every visit. I couldn't recommend this place enough!

Rude, nobody knows anything about their rules or services. I have had so many negative touch points and haven’t even been able to take my pup in for bath yet. Some employees say I need to schedule a meet and greet first, others say no, and others just don’t care either way. Unfortunate because they are close to me, but if it’s this bad with customer service I can’t imagine what’s it must be like for a pup in their care.

As a devoted pet parent, my Pomeranian, QQ, isn’t just a dog—he’s my son. His comfort, safety, and happiness mean everything to me, which is why I’m so grateful to have found Dogtopia. Finding a trustworthy, professional, and caring environment for QQ has always been a top priority. From our very first visit for the Meet and Greet, I was impressed by the professionalism and genuine care shown by the entire team. The staff displayed an exceptional level of warmth, attentiveness, and knowledge. Every team member clearly has a genuine love for animals and takes the time to get to know each dog individually. QQ isn’t always the friendliest to begin with, but he immediately felt comfortable, which is a testament to the positive and safe environment they’ve created. They took the time to get to know QQ’s unique personality and needs, which immediately put me at ease. Trust me, when it comes to QQ, it isn’t easy. It was clear that this isn’t just a job for them—they truly care about the well-being of every dog that walks through their doors. The facility is clean, secure, and thoughtfully designed with both play and rest in mind. QQ especially enjoys the indoor areas where he can safely explore and socialize under close supervision. I really appreciate how the staff group dogs by size and temperament—something that’s especially important for a small breed like QQ. The play areas are equipped with stimulating toys and activities, ensuring that dogs are not only entertained but also well-exercised. Whether he’s staying for the day or boarding overnight, I always receive updates and personalized feedback that reassure me he’s in excellent hands. The team’s attention to detail, from his specific feeding routine to any special care instructions, gives me complete peace of mind. What truly sets Dogtopia apart is their commitment to every dog’s well-being. They go above and beyond to create a home-away-from-home atmosphere that’s not only professional but also deeply caring. They treat your pet like family, and in today’s world, that’s something truly special. Dogtopia has truly become a second home for QQ, my little old man. Knowing he’s happy, loved, and well cared for when he’s there makes all the difference. I left Dogtopia Alamo Ranch absolutely furious with how I was treated. The managers, Nick and Adele, were shockingly rude and dismissive from the moment the meet-and-greet started. I was told I’d get free daycare, only to be charged anyway...and then they refused to refund me... SHOCKER. That alone was frustrating, but the attitude on top of it made the whole thing feel like a complete waste of my time. This was unfortunate as I was really looking forward to my cute pupper being in the hands of good people. Anyway, While I was there, I heard another pet parent complaining that their dog wasn’t being let out and came home scratched up, which definitely didn’t make me feel any better about what I was seeing. The front desk looked dirty, cluttered, and totally unorganized, and the playroom cameras never seemed to be on whenever I tried to check them. I'm sure any pup-parent would feel worried about this. Inside the playroom, I personally saw what looked like poop left on the floor, and it honestly made me question whether anyone was paying attention to basic cleanliness. And when I told the managers I didn’t want to enroll but still planned to bring my dog every other week, they literally walked away from the front and never spoke to me again. The level of unprofessionalism blew my mind. Based on my experience, this place felt chaotic, careless, and completely disrespectful. I’m beyond disappointed and absolutely will not be bringing my dog back or recommending this location to anyone. Extremely disappointed as a pup-dad.
