Lucky Dog Resort

Melissa and Greg are the absolute best. Their facility is so clean, and very well kept. Our sweet girl loves going there to play with her "friends". She gets lots of play time and is always exhausted in the best way when we pick her up. Highly recommend, always 5 stars from us and our girl is a regular.

We have used Lucky Dog Resort a few times now for our Vizsla and we couldn’t be happier with them! Greg and Melissa are extremely kind, patient, and have their boarding process down. We always trust our dog is in wonderful, capable hands and we are so thankful to have found them!

Lucky Dog Resort is truly the best! We've taken our large pup to a few other boarding facilities, but this is the only one where we can drop him off and feel good knowing he is safe and cared for. The dogs here also get much more outside play time than at most other places. We drive 30 minutes out of our way to board our dog here. It's worth it!

My husband and I were going on a vacation with our adult son. In the past he has graciously made time to watch our family dog. Petal is now 15-years old and has never been boarded. Our dog-sitter plans fell through and we had just under 2 weeks to find an arrangement. I found several traditional kennels that were sterile, unfriendly, and charged extra for play time. We wanted our older dog to be in more of a calm home situation. I found Lucky Dog Resort on the KING5 ‘Best of’ list. When I read the description, I felt like Melissa and Greg might have just the right environment for our best girl. The home and yard were incredibly clean and organized. The separate areas for older and smaller dogs assured me that she would be ok. Melissa and Greg were great at reassuring us that Petal would be well taken care of. She had her bed, toys, and treats when we left. When we returned, she was SO happy. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the professionalism and warmth that Melissa and Greg had for our dog. Just a great and friendly boarding facility. We left our young Havanese at the care of Melissa for a trip, and picked him up 9 days later. He seemed to be pretty happy to be in the place. We took him home and gave him a bath and then he was basically his normal self in the house and with the cat. He was supposed to be taking an antibiotic tablet once a day due to a skin allergy, and Melissa took care of that. Like most other boarding places, she is picky about checking vaccination reports, but unlike most boarding places, she keeps small/medium dogs completely separate from large dogs, which made us feel more at ease about our little pooch. We are very happy to have found Lucky Dog Resort and Melissa and her husband (who has done some nice landscaping in the front yard)

**Edited to higher stars not pull down their high average rating as we did not have our dogs stay here - it does look like folks have had good experience, just want to share info for the folks with mixed breed pups** Super prompt in returning my call and appreciated the owners being upfront about their rules. However, am sad this place turns away mixed breed dogs if they "look pitty". Obviously their home/biz/choice, but as a dog mom to 4 rescues, including two mixes with who knows what, I think these breed discrimination practices are a bit outdated and harmful to the rescue dog community. Also think folks should be aware if looking to book with them.

Our two labradoodles Rover & Velvet love Lucky Dog Resort and so do we. We know that when we go out of town or on vacation our pups are very well cared for and are in fact having a vacation of their own. Last year we moved to Vancouver WA and happily drive back to Lucky Dog resort each time we go away as they simply can’t be matched and we have piece of mind knowing they are cared for.
