Idlewire Pet Care

I just adopted a puppy from a rescue in San Diego called Baja Paws. When I brought her back to Utah I was worried about leaving her home. I googled pet daycare on Google and they brought me to idlewire. I took her in and they are the most caring loving staff and doggy daycare. They take such good care of Charli. Not only do I love idlewire my puppy loves it there too. When I have to go to work I never have to worry about Charli. Thank you idlewire for taking care of my puppy while I have to work.

Absolutely wonderful pet care. My dogs adore this place! I have been bringing one of my dogs here for over a year, and in that time we have used every service they offer: daycare, boarding, and grooming. My dog has a thick undercoat and needs frequent deshedding, and the grooming team always does an amazing job. He comes home looking great and feeling so much lighter. I recently adopted a second dog and started bringing her as well, and the experience has been just as positive. No matter what they are going in for, both of my dogs are excited to walk through the door. They love daycare and get to play with other dogs all day, and when they board, I know they are safe, comfortable, and well cared for whether they are in a run or one of the cozy cabins. As a pet owner, it means so much to know that my dogs are not just being watched. They are having fun, getting attention, and being treated with real care. I feel completely at ease leaving them here, and I am grateful to have found a place they love this much.

I have taken my goldendoodle to Idlewire for several years now and have never had any problems. My dog is always happy to be there because she is comfortable with the groomer and how she is treated. The grooming is always done to my liking. Korinne is our groomer and I have been so happy with her!

We have taken our dog here for years and always get great treatment from all staff. Daniella always does a great job on my dog.

We have had two entirely different experiences here. The first, last year was great. The groomer, a woman who sounded like she was from somewhere in Europe, maybe Italy or Greece, knew our breed and exactly what hand stripping was and what grooming she needed. She did a wonderful job. Our dog looked amazing and she was very happy. We could tell she was treated well. Our dog is well-behaved for grooming. This last experience the groomer kept asking us how short we wanted her coat and we kept saying it's a hand strip. There's no length, you literally strip one of the coats out with your fingers. When we picked our dog up she had been hand stripped a little, but also cut with scissors or clippers. They even trimmed the whiskers on her face. She's a hunting dog and she needs her whiskers. The groom looked sloppy, they didn't brush her teeth, but the price had gone up almost $50 from last year. In addition, our dog hasn't been the same since we picked her up. She won't eat her food and she acts depressed. It's been days now. We will not go here again.

Kathy is exceptional! We have an Eskipom, which is tricky to groom. She does an outstanding job with him and they have a bond. He never acts nervous with her. Thank you Kathy and team for taking such good care of our fur baby!

We boarded 4 dogs and 4 cats in May 2025 for about 10 days. There are a lot of younger people running things which had me a little worried but everything turned out really well. We are the type of parents that called every day for an update. I love that they give each pet a "report card" to show how they did that day. They always picked up the phone on the first attempt. They don't allow collars or leashes which was a little alarming at first but they remembered every pets' name and what issues any of them had. You can bring your own beds and toys etc. This place does require kennel cough vaccinations but PLEASE PSA get your vaccinations more than a month before you go - they are contagious for a few weeks. Once a pet stays here their client portal keeps them in the system so drop-off next time will be very quick and easy. They do down payments up front and then final charges at pickup. They have a decent store front with a few favorite brands. All in all it went very well and some of our pets didn't want to leave!! Very nice facility though you don't get to see much. Indoors and climate controlled. Check the extras if you want your pet to play outside. I wonder if some of these negative reviews are related to their parents not upgrading to outside play which would be hard on most pets. Thank you for taking care of my fur kids!!!
