Preppy Pet Tempe

We recently used Preppy Pet’s grooming service for the first time for our dogs, Penny and Layla, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! The pickup and drop-off service was absolutely amazing. Tommy, the transporter, was fantastic. My dogs usually have something to say about everything, but they didn’t even bark when he arrived. They happily walked right into his truck and didn’t look back, which says a lot about how comfortable they felt with him. The grooming itself was excellent. Penny, our Golden Retriever, got a wonderful summer cut that looks great and will help keep her comfortable in the Arizona heat. Both dogs came home looking clean, happy, and well cared for. As someone who is semi-disabled, the pickup and drop-off service is truly a godsend. It makes grooming so much easier and less stressful for both me and my dogs. A special thank you to Dante, the owner, who was incredibly helpful and made the entire process smooth from the start. He got us set up for our first appointment and provided outstanding customer service. We are extremely impressed with Preppy Pet and will definitely be using them for all of Penny and Layla’s future grooming needs. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend! Fantastic staff that treats us like family. Our fur baby could not be any more obsessed with daycare. He pulls my arm out of socket every morning on the way in. Thankful to have found such a great fit.

Hands down the BEST dog daycare around! Biscuit absolutely loves coming here and gets so excited the moment we pull up. What makes them more amazing is how they accommodate her special needs and restrictions without hesitation. The staff truly care about our baby and treats them like family (which gives me so much peace of mind). She always comes home happy, tired, and clearly had the best day with her friends. We had an excellent experience with Preppy Pet Tempe and their willingness to work with our dog, Iggy, who is a rescue and is generally afraid of new people. They spent time working with Iggy for a few days before we boarded him for four nights to ensure he would feel comfortable during his stay. I am happy to recommend Preppy Pet Tempe for your pet grooming services. We are new to the area and were searching for a groomer. We had recently rescued a small maltese mix who was in a matted mess. They did a wonderful job and showed kindness and a love for their work. We experienced quick scheduling, convenient location, friendly and professional communication, reasonable pricing and caring attention. Always bring my dogs here for boarding because they get playtime, and the team treats them extremely well. They have sent videos in the past, and my normally anxious Chihuahua is wagging his tail and visibly enjoying himself during play time.

I tried to book boarding here but was surprised by several things. They require prepayment and a credit card on file, and when I declined to provide a credit card, my reservation was refused due to fully booked for months ahead. I was also asked why I needed the reservation, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. On top of that, the listing describes the space as a "big mini suite for medium dogs," but it’s actually limited to dogs under 25 lbs, which is misleading. Clear policies and accurate descriptions would help pet owners make better decisions before booking.
