Kickapoo Ranch Pet Resort exceeded every expectation. From the moment we arrived, it was obvious that the staff genuinely love and care about animals. The property is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, with plenty of space for dogs to play, explore, and enjoy themselves. My dog came home happy, healthy, and relaxed…which says everything.

Dropped our dog Shaggy off on Monday for 5 days of training. Was really nervous as Shaggy has not spent any nights away from us. Miss Cat did a great job with training and keeping us informed daily of what was going on. She sent us videos and pic of Shaggy’s progress. Now the rest is up to us to continue and we can bring Shaggy a couple times if we think he needs a little more special attention. Such a great place for dogs. And everybody is very nice and genuinely caring for the dogs. I highly recommend you give them a cal for boarding and training.

My parents have been bringing their dog here for a while and used Cat to help train their dog a while back and loved her. I dropped my dog off here for the first time (who usually hates daycares/boarding) and everyone was so friendly to him and you could tell he felt comfortable the second time I brought him so he could do training with Cat. She was so amazing with helping my dog with his reactivity issues. She was super communicative during the whole process. You can tell she loves what she does and truly cares about all the dogs she cares for. She really knows how to help high energy dogs like the German Shepherd mutts my parents and I both have. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

I had my dogs groomed there for the first time & I love it!!! I now consider them my permanent place for grooming! So friendly & helpful & the facility is beautiful. And they BOARD CATS!!!! What a PLUS

★★★★★ Outstanding care for our two huskies, highly recommended We boarded our two huskies, Luna and Obelix, at Kickapoo Pet Resort in Houston, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Anyone who knows huskies knows they’re not the easiest dogs high energy, strong personalities, and very people-oriented. The team at Kickapoo handled them with real professionalism, patience, and genuine affection. It was immediately clear that this isn’t just a boarding facility, but a place where dogs are truly understood and cared for. The staff kept us comfortable and confident while we were away, the facility is clean and well organized, and our dogs came home relaxed, happy, and clearly well looked after which says everything. Luna and Obelix were themselves from the moment we picked them up, not stressed or withdrawn as can happen after boarding. If you’re looking for a place in Houston where your dogs are treated as individuals rather than numbers, Kickapoo Pet Resort is a fantastic choice. We will absolutely be coming back.

Incompetent? Understaffed? Mismanaged? How about ALL THREE with a lot of excuses Boarded 2 dogs 7 nights (+ daycare) Outside is very nice, Inside + kennels very average Front desk lady said they send pictures daily – they don’t - I only received pictures playing 2 days of 7 When I asked about the pictures at checkout, 1st excuse was they only have 2 people w/ the dogs during the day 2nd excuse, she’s (front desk lady) not there on the weekends so kind of a not my department answer Told me to pick the dogs up between 11-12pm- So i arrived 12.15pm - one dog not done w/ bath –I said I will take them as they are. Once I got my dogs back, each dog had the others collar on. One is 85 pounds and the other is 55 pounds – hard to mix those up and of course the dogs were wet- even the dog they had completed bath. Too bad this place is so sloppy, they could be good, but fall miserably short, especially at the price point. This is not a facility problem, its a people problem ++ Update- love the owner reply, even more excuses
