Raccoon River Kennels

Due to the death of a family member, out of state, we had to make an impromptu trip. The staff were more than helpful, sent pictures with updates every day. We never had to worry about our fur kids at all. We will use them again and highly recommend them. Thank you Raccoon River Kennels staff for keeping our Mia & Galli safe and happy!

My dog Remi goes to RRK every Thursday for daycare. It has quickly become a favorite day in our house. Remi comes home absolutely wiped after a long day of play with her friends. We can tell she loves it and is well cared for while she's there. RRK staff have always all been nothing but amazing for us. They've always accommodated any needs for Remi including applying ear spray when she needed it while in care, answering any questions we have, canceling daycare days, changing daycare days to a different day, etc. I also LOVE when they post pictures and videos of the pups so I can get a peek at what Remi has done all day. As a family where both pawrents work full time it's nice to have a day for Remi to just be a fun loving pup, and not have to be in her kennel for 8 hours. RRK is a blessing to our family!!

Both our dogs Ruby and Coco love it here! Ruby can be scared of people and certain situations but she is always anxious to go to RR. The staff is great and do a great job with communication. We trust them with our girls!

Raccoon River kennels was great. I took my dog to two different places for a test run and both places did not want to keep him because they thought he was aggressive. Raccoon River Kennels knew how to work with him. He is not aggressive he just needs to warm up to you. They did an amazing job working with him and they had no issues whatsoever. If I ever need to board him again this is where I will be taking him.

Just got home from a long trip, and our dogs were healthy, clean, fed, exercised and well-loved at Raccoon River Kennels. We’re so grateful for their smiles and care for our dogs!

This is a great place to take your dogs for doggie daycare. My dogs loved it and were smiling from ear to ear. Thank you to all the care givers.

The absolute best in Des Moines! I’ve tried other daycares, but none of them provided the level of activity, engagement and care we get at RR. The facilities are amazing and the staff truly cares about the dogs on a personal level. The conversations I’ve had upon drop off and pick up show me they take the time to know each dog. This is a huge relief to know they care about his likes/dislikes, know what is unusual for him, and actually enjoy playing with him/provide him love during the day. My dog pulls us inside on play days and gives the staff "hugs" every chance he gets. It’s a little out of our way but it is well worth it. I’d highly recommend to anyone!
