Thank you for watching Wednesday & Sunshine! I had originally was going to go with another boarding place and had an appointment set up but got a notification that they overbooked so I panicked and found Second Home! This was their first time using them for boarding while on our vacation overseas for a week. I wish I could remember their names but the ladies up front send me a few pics of my girls throughout the week which I so appreciated as this was to make sure they were definitely ok while we were gone. Reasonably priced, super nice & friendly & took us in when we needed a place. Thank you again! Michelle

I LOVE Second Home. I travel often for work and Second Home always takes such good care of my dog. I have a 5 year old American Bully who is reactive towards some dogs. Second Home pays attention to who he gets along with and always sends photos of him smiling! My dog always runs right in when I drop him off and loves all the girls that work there. They take all of the stress out of traveling!

We love Second Home and more importantly, so does our senior dog, Angus (15 years old). Senior dogs often need a bit more patience and understanding and Second Home has always went above and beyond to ensure Angus is calm, well-cared for, and happy. They are the ONLY grooming service we have ever used that returns Angus perfectly groomed, calm, and with no anxiety. Even better, instead of keeping him for hours and hours (which stresses all dogs, seniors esp.), they only keep home for the length of time it takes to groom. We bring home a happy and calm dog. He may no longer let us cut his nails etc. but he has no issue with them grooming him. Their boarding is fabulous, even with Angus’s food, medication, and treat schedule. The recommended suite worked perfectly for him, as he does not like other dogs and stresses when away from home. We recommend them 100%!! Thank you for taking such good care of our grumpy old man! You are the only groomer and boarding facility we will ever use and truly are a second home for him. 🐾

The people there are fabulous. We are back here for the holidays and the fit our/their Percy in right away for a mask trim. Best groomer/boarding place in the Des Moines area.

I had to take one of my kitties to daycare for the first time ever, and this was really hard for me. I knew I would be anxious and scared leaving him. The staff at Second Home made this as easy as possible for me, and they went above and beyond throughout the whole process. They didn’t make me feel bad for calling multiple times beforehand and asking tons of silly questions, or for calling multiple times throughout the day to ask how he was. They took such good care of him (and took care of me, I guess!), and I am so happy that I chose Second Home for my first daycare experience. We will definitely be returning the next time we need daycare. Wonderful staff, a very nice room for the cats, and overall, a great experience. Thank you all for taking care of my Kion!

Took both our family dogs to get groomed today They both look great and were happy the whole time they were there. Very easy process professional friendly staff very clean place. Dogs were allowed to roam and check the place out safely. Worth the money will be back soon.Thanks for the cute corgi butt😍

This is my second time boarding my dog for several days at Second Home and I'm consistently impressed with how great the service is. They make the experience so friendly and fun for my dog and he always comes home happily tired from playing and in such a good mood. They had fun updates for me about the friends he made and how well he ate and played. They're my go-to service for doggy daycare and long term boarding.
