Hydrant Dog Wash

I used the DIY dog wash here. Loved the high easy to use tubs and proximity to my home in the Northend. However, I’m hesitant to come again after my dog developed pyoderma a few days after with scabs all over his neck and back. He tested positive for cocci bacteria by his veterinarian and is currently on antibiotics. I obviously can’t be 100% certain it was from this facility but my dog was not exposed to any water before his bath here and was adequately and gently bathed, rinsed, and dried well. I suspect the tub, grooming tools and shampoo/conditioner dilution bottles may not have been sanitized properly because this was my first visit here and this has never happened before. I will probably return to my other preferred DIY place as well as bringing my own grooming products and tools from now on. *clarification edit* my dog contracted a cocci bacterial skin infection not a coccidia parasite infection. Coccidia can cause gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea and vomiting. Symptoms he did not have.

I took my dog Bernie to Hydrant Dog Wash in Hyde Park for the first time today. I did a "self serve Service" , shampoo option smelled amazing and all the tools for brushing/drying/ear cleaning made it a full service experience. Atmosphere was so friendly and inviting! I love having a local business like this just around the corner from me. Parking was abundant and there was no wait time for a tub. They have a monthly membership option at a really reasonable price that includes unlimited baths. I opted for a one time visit that was about $20 bucks. Well worth it! 10/10 ⭐️

I took my dog here for a self wash randomly as I was in the area. This place is so amazing! Staff was so friendly and constantly cleaning, putting out new towels and brushes. Each station has everything you need and more!! (shampoo, conditioner, ear wash, face wash, blow dryer, lifted tub, leash, all types of brushes, etc). Wished I lived closer to make this my regular place, but because this place is so great I will probably make the drive as often as I can. Prices are fair and they also offer memberships if you live close and can make use of multiple self washes in a month.

Really enjoyed my experience here! They have everything you need, clean tubs, and all the treats to bribe your 85 lb lab to wanting to get washed. They had someone able to help shave his nails down. Everyone was friendly. Aprons were a plus! And a nice doggy cologne for after. 10/10!

We took in our 2 year old Golden Retriever who had a hunch of matting in her skirt area and generally just needed a good clean. Hydrant did such a great job from consultation, scheduling and grooming!! Amazing! Bring your doggies here 🙌

We have used many DIY dog washes across the west. And I really appreciate this one fair price and everything needed with no additional charges. Also the whole vibe is great. Great to meet Haley.

So excited about this new business in our neighborhood! It’s such a convenient location after all of our mountain and foothill adventures. I love that there’s enough tubs that you never have to make an appointment or wait, and they’ve thought of everything- ear cleaner, special face wash, really good blow dryers, and even a spritz of doggy cologne when they’re finished! Super affordable too- an unlimited month membership is hardly more than one wash at other locations. The owners were super nice and you can tell that they truly love dogs!
