Bark Slope

Bark Slope gained a loyal customer today! Our little rescue mutt Gus is super anxious and has been nippy with past groomers. We were looking for somewhere with extra experience with anxious dogs. We were recommended Lisa and she was AMAZING with Gus. I’ve never seen him leave a groomer this happy!!!

I'm really fond of this place; we've been visiting for two years now, and Australia seems like such a friendly part of the neighborhood. The staff is always warm and welcoming, and my dog truly adores them. We usually go there for baths for our dog, and it includes a complimentary handkerchief as a little gift. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot for delicious dog treats and baths. It's truly a wonderful place for pet owners.

I’m a retail, self service and self service bath customer at bark slope. My 3 stars are for the retail and self service experience, all of the staff is great and the self service is always in good condition. Where they fall incredibly short is in their grooming services. Unless you have a doodle or are doing a full shave, I would not recommend for more technical cuts. I’ve taken my Airedale in for grooming a total of 3 times with each time getting progressively worse. First time was more or less fine. The shorter areas were a bit patchy but over all fine. The second time they gave him a teddy bear haircut on his face, buzzed off his skirt so he was just one length all around and a Pom Pom tail??? The third time they completely shaved off his beard and still cut his skirt that I had been so patiently growing out from the last haircut. I asked if they shaved off his beard accidentally or if it was due to him moving a lot or being fussy because they were near his face and they assured me he was very well behaved thought out. Overall my dog is unrecognizable and even more importantly, does not look like his breed.

Can’t say enough good things about Bark Slope. I have a toy schnauzer with a complex cut. She comes out looking like she was at a photo shoot. I get SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on her cut. My dog actually enjoys being there (at 6 months old!) and gives the staff kisses. The cut is so good that even 8 weeks later she’s still getting compliments! I will not take her anywhere else.

Update 8/30/24 Wynter groomed my Neville again as he was the ring bearer and best man at my wedding. Photo attached. He looked incredible!!!! Thanks again! If I could give Bark Slope ten stars I would- So here’s the other five !!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️! My normal groomer cancelled our appt very last minute and my dog needed a groom for a special event. I had no idea where to bring him on such short notice. BARK SLOPE SAVED THE DAY!!!!!! They were able to squeeze me in very short notice, (the next morning) and WINTER did an amazing job grooming my pup and getting his purple Mohawk just right. He looks photo shoot ready! She not only did the best job he’s ever had with a groom, when she returned him to me, he was even a friendlier dog than he was when I dropped him off!!!!!!! 😂 My dog, who doesn’t allow me to pick him up, jumped right into my arms!!!! And he was happy!!!! I’m so thankful to you WINTER. You’re an amazing groomer. So professional and polite and courteous and understanding. My dog also has epilepsy and knowing he was being groomed by a former vet tech, really set me at ease. Winter will now be Neville’s Official groomer. I won’t go anywhere else. We went out for ice cream afterwards and he’s now passed out from such an exciting day. (This place is worth every single penny!!!!! Trust me guys)

I brought my dog here recently and I couldn’t have had a better experience! Making an appointment was easy, the groomer was super friendly and my dog was relaxed for the whole service. I also picked up some fun products! I will definitely be back! 😊

When I say that my dog is an absolute drama queen, I mean it. I've taken her to different groomers and some can handle her sass, while others can't. I brought her to Bark Slope once to get her nails done and the staff was so welcoming. The groomer loves my dog and doesn't make me feel bad about her monthly nail trims. We've been back several times since our initial visit and I'll be a long-term customer. My only request was that there was an easier scheduling tool. Right now, I call or email them to book an appointment.
