I have no words to describe this place. My dog, Poncho, is 12 years old (very close to being 13!) and grooming has become a massive struggle for him as his hips cannot tolerate long periods of standing like they used to. Petsmart did us dirty a few months ago when they left him completely soaked bc "he couldn’t tolerate the groom" they didn’t even dry his head!! This turned out to be a blessing in disguise because it led me to Google Island dog groomers! They were super kind, accommodating, loving, professional, amazing groomers, and trust worthy. Poncho was able to leave WALKING, which was not the case when he left per smart the last 2 times. He is super clean and went in without a problem. He only looked back twice. He felt so comfortable there. I owe them so much! I highly recommend them!!!!! I will definitely be coming back regularly!!! 1st picture it the before and the last 2 the after!

I was referred to island dog pet wash for grooming 2 years ago and I couldn’t be happier! I have been through several groomers for my yorkie and doodle trying to find a groomer who could execute the cut/styles I was looking for, and Mandy always deliver outstanding results! Anyone with these breeds understands how challenging it is to find a groomer who doesn’t butcher their breed appropriate cut. Mandy always takes her time to listen to my style requests, and I bring in a photo to help explain my cut desires. The dogs love her and all of the staff are so welcoming. Did I forget to mention—— their prices are unbeatable! Thank you for being so awesome!

Brought my 11 lb. MorkiePoo to Island Dog Pet Wash for a full service grooming appt with nail trim. They are excellent with the nails, wash and cut. Price was $78 which is reasonable. Everyone was so friendly and my Pup was all smiles. They have a Pet supply section for essentials along with Pet washing tubs if you are looking for a DIY Pet wash place. Very easy to find right up 61, part of a shopping area with ample parking. They are always busy so plan to schedule with them at least a couple months in advance. We scheduled our next appt when we checked out. Island Dog came highly recommended from neighbors with Doodle breeds and I'm very happy to have found them.

Give this place your business! I have a senior 15-year-old senior schnauzer mix who still has a little bit of pep in his step. He’s totally deaf, nearly blind, and his back legs are a bit weak, but he’s still doing OK! He absolutely hates going to the groomers and at his age, I always feel like each time is probably gonna be his last time. Petsmart was not good with him when we moved here over a year ago. Island dog wash, understands and has people to take care of your dog’s individual needs. He gets a bath and a groom, and I cut him pretty short because I let him grow very long in between due to his age. I trust them to take care of my little Sirius Black and leave his signature mohawk.

My pup and I had a great first experience at Island Dog Wash. I just rescued her and I was very nervous about how she would do at her first appointment, but the staff was very understanding and put me at ease. She was so happy when I picked her up and looked and smelled AMAZING. The team was truly so nice and gave me recommendations on how to keep up with her grooming schedule which I really appreciated. There are lots of natural and great dog treats and toys inside too. Thank you for taking care of Clementine! We will be back soon!

Convenient DIY bathing for your dog. Hassle free with necessary supplies. They also offer grooming services. I believe it is priced well to consider. I recommend them.

Great staff!! One of the best small businesses in Charleston. I know they groom a lot of dogs but it means a lot that they know Banshee’s name and greet her before I say a thing. They always seem genuinely excited to see her, which means a lot to me. Just make sure you book the next hair cut before you leave, they book up quickly.
