Petco Grooming

This was the first time I have used the Gunbarrel Road location. In the past I have always gone to Fort O. Location! Anyway my little 32 lb. miniature goldendoodle was groomed at Gunbarrel location the entire bill was $120. I paid $32 extra for a special they had going for extra $30 more conditioner and 15 more minutes of massaging. This was on November, 9,2025 and I picked Nugget up and he looked pretty good! After about 2 or 3 days he starts scratching and scratching until he has dug big sores in his head! We have done nothing different. My baby for over 2 weeks now he is still miserable! He can't sleep or eat! I really haven't gotten so concerned until today! I finally googled and they said take him to vet immediately! I'm not going to say too much right now! I wanted to let Petco try to correct this wrong! The Fort O store has always been great! I just hope and pray me and the vet can get this cleared up! I am waiting for a call back to see vet on a Sunday! Prayers please! And they did not clip his nails and I ask them to.

Tabatha was so sweet and my girl, Kali Rae loved her. Her cut and nails look great. I know she feels better. My sweet girl is anxious and timid, but Tabatha knew exactly how to win her over with lots of lovins and pets! Thank you so much for a great experience. We will be back to see Tabatha for sure.

My dog’s cut was awful. They gapped him up and then proceeded to blame it on him for being an older dog. They said he could not hold up his own weight on the table. Yet they still charged me $70. He plays and runs and stands just fine. I had to call corporate office because when I called the manager of the store to complain, she told me I was no longer allowed to bring my dog back to their store due to his age. This was the worst experience I have ever had getting my dog groomed. I will never take him to Petco again.

Tabitha was great She made sure Elvis was not scared and she went above and beyond on grooming him.

Carlie is wonderful with our puppy. He loves to come see her and does well for her. Would, and do, recommend her to anyone in need of pet grooming.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I brought in my 20 lb Goldendoodle puppy—who was visibly scared and shaking due to the overwhelming environment—and was told she was "aggressive" and that the groomer didn’t feel safe. Rather than attempting to ease her into the process or demonstrate any understanding of handling nervous puppies, I was dismissed and told to "just go back to your regular groomer" because they "don’t take aggressive dogs." As someone who has never had issues with grooming before, I found the lack of patience and professionalism extremely disappointing. I expected a level of care and experience with dogs of all temperaments, especially young and anxious ones. Instead, I left feeling judged and dismissed without any effort to truly assess the situation.

I live in Dalton Georgia and drive to this location to get my dogs groomed by Faith. She is amazing! She loves dogs and is very talented with multiple breeds. My dogs are comfortable with her because she cares.
