Muddy Buddy - Pet Wash & Grooming

Muddy Buddy is a God Send!! I have been through many groomers in the area, with little success, so when I decided to try Muddy Buddy, I was a little apprehensive. They did not disappoint! The cut was perfect, the groomer was SO Gentle!! And the price is very reasonable. They did an amazing Job! We are clients for life!

I cannot recommend Muddy Buddy (specifically Michelle) enough! My lab mix, Tuck, is typically very anxious and hates getting groomed/bathed, but that is not the case here! He loves it when we go and is obsessed with Michelle. She goes above and beyond each time we are there to make sure that he is comfortable. There is something SO comforting when you walk in and the team knows you and your pet by name. We recently moved to Suffolk and I STILL make all my appointments at Muddy Buddy on Independence. There is absolutely no one in Hampton Roads that I trust more with my fur baby than Michelle! If you are looking for a new groomer - look no further! It doesn’t get better than Muddy Buddy.

I’ve taken my dog Luna to around 7 different groomers since I’ve moved to VB and this place wins by ten fold. Such an awesome staff and I cant recommend the groomer Mikey enough! Not only is he an amazing groomer (always makes my baby look beautiful) but he is so incredibly kind with her which means more to me than an amazing haircut - which he still does anyway. Muddy buddy is the best in Hampton roads hands down, take your furry fam here!

I am so thankful I found Muddy Buddy. One of their specialties is grooming senior dogs. My Schnorkie is a sweetie but can be a little ornery when she gets groomed. Mikey the groomer is very patient with my dog and does and excellent job. I highly recommend Muddy Buddy to anyone looking for a nice family owned business with excellent customer service and awesome groomers!

Mikey has always exceeded expectations with our four pups. We started using this place because they're close to where my husband's office was. Now that he has moved locations it isn't exactly on the way but we would travel much further for the kind of service and hospitality they show. I was in a bad car accident when I was 6 months pregnant (my 10 month old son was also in the car) and one of our dogs was there being groomed. My husband communicated that we would be late picking her up and the entire staff was not only beyond understanding but they showed so much compassion and even checked on us later. We will be patrons for as long as we live here & we will always recommend Muddy Buddy to everyone we meet with pups.

I bring my two senior Westies to be bathe and groomed here. One of my Westies vertebrae was hurt and it was Mikey who let me know that Peyton is hurting. I took Peyton to our vet and sure enough he was hurt in the top neck vertebrae. Peyton also has really bad separation anxiety and Mikey takes his time and works his magic with him. He also knows when Peyton had enough and stops and let me bring him back in day or two. The bottom line is The staff is in tune with the need of their fur customers. Amy, Brooke and Mikey’s attention to detail to make my boys comfortable is second to none. It is also the cleanest and the best smelling grooming shop I have ever been to.

I have been going here for a while. The previous owners told me there was no one else they would trust with there business and I agree. I brought my old dog and they were so gentle and understanding since he has Cushing's and bad arthritis. They were also able to handle my crazy beagle who has made it extremely difficult for other's to trim his nails. I highly recommend these guys.
