I recently took my doodle for grooming and was left pretty disappointed with the experience. The instructor informed me that my dog was difficult to be handle and that he would not be allowed back for future sessions, she then offered to give me information on her own salon. If her being the instructor could not handle my dog, what makes you think she could handle him at her own salon? What concerned me the most was how my boy seemed afterward, he came out visibly upset, sad, and quiet. Had red marks under his eyes which they must have likely cut him with the razors, he didn’t want to eat or play, which is very unlike him. I understand that this is a training facility and that students are still learning, but the instructor should be expected to provide better support for her students and her clients rather than simply telling me that he couldn’t return. That being said, after seeing how my doodle came home, I wouldn’t even want to go back even if I could.

I brought my two big boys in for grooming yesterday. I was absolutely impressed with the service and care they received. The students were so kind and handled them well! Both of my dogs are 100lbs each so it can be a chore to bathe them! I will be returning in the spring to get their winter coat taken care of! Pricing was very affordable for the boys to get a bath and a deshed treatment!

We (Charlie, my wife, and I) love Bear Clips Salon. Friendly, attentive students, professional and helpful instructors, fantastic services at a great price. Charlie comes home happy and looking great. Can't recommend them enough.

I took my dog here for a grooming, and unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience. While I completely understand they are just students and I didn’t expect perfection, the way my dog was handled was the real issue. The instructor texted me that my dog was "too difficult to handle" and that I wouldn’t be allowed back. If they are a training facility shouldn’t they be teaching students how to handle all types of dogs? Not just the easy ones? I would understand if my dog were aggressive but he isn’t so I don’t understand how he was labeled too difficult. Instead of working through the challenge of him being "too difficult" and using it as a learning experience, the instructor simply refused service in the future. This just makes me question about how well students are being trained to handle real world grooming situations.
