The Posh Pet Dog and Cat Salon

So I had Posh cut my puppy 3 times in the past 9 months the first cut was really well but the second cut one of my puppies eye seem to be really affected in some way shape or form I had called and asked them did anything happen during the service they informed me and told me no OK maybe something happen in the car ride home and so now to day with a haircut which will be her will be her third cut from the same groomer from the two times before my puppies I is affected again. I had called again and asked did anything happen during the service they had told me no and something had to happen during the car ride, which nothing happened during the car ride. I have videos of before and after the service all three times and the second time. her eye was affected, and now the third time her eye is affected and now they’re asking me to figure out what the vet will have to say about her eye, and I am extremely disturbed because they are trying to blame it on the car ride after the fact both times and it’s a load of crap! I will definitely be updating what the vet has to say tomorrow, but I am extremely disappointed with the receptionist and the groomer telling me that something happened during the car ride where nothing happened in the car ride and why did something happen in the car ride with the last two times that they cut her hair it is somehow my fault.

I’m extremely disappointed with the grooming service my Yorkie received here. I brought in my female Yorkie for what I thought would be a simple trim — just to neaten up her long, beautiful fur. Instead, they completely shaved her down without my consent. When I picked her up just a few hours later, I was shocked to see her fur completely gone and uneven, looking choppy and unfinished. Once we got home, even my other two dogs didn’t recognize her — my male dog actually tried to mount her because she looked and smelled so different. To make matters worse, it’s mid-October, and now she barely has any fur left to keep her warm and even she looks uncomfortable as she's normally quite energetic but after receiving her back she's been so quiet and unresponsive. This experience was extremely upsetting, and I will definitely not be returning. I wish they had communicated or asked before doing something so drastic without my approval.

I have used them since her first hair cut she loves to be there and sad I'm moving and she will be having her last cut here in the end of June .

I took my puppy here for his first haircut, and they did such a great job! I was nervous about him being there, but they were very reassuring and took very good care of him. They were very responsive and were able to book me an appointment the same week I called. I gave them minimal instructions but Ribbie's haircut turned out perfect and exactly how I envisioned it! And they even gave him a cute bandana and a baggie of treats. I will be back! As a heads up they only take cash or check.

We had been a loyal customer, dismissing the groomer’s visible disinterest in her job in lieu of a decent grooming for our dog. Then we were charged a late arrival fee. I have no problem paying a late fee if I am aware of their late fee policy. We were never informed and there were no signs posted for customers to be made aware of the policy. The way it was handled was very unprofessional, sending a clear message they didn’t value us as a customer. Fortunately, there are other choices for talented groomers, and we have found one who is enthusiastic about their work and treats our dog as if he was their own fur baby.

This week we had to take our cat, Venus, to get her nails trimmed. We took her to the Posh Pet. They are very friendly and incredibly priced. However, their reception area is in the same room where they groom the dogs, which is very loud and smells very strongly of pet urine. It does not appear to be a very calming area for the pets. They took Venus into a back room which they claimed was a quieter area for cats (Venus hasn't spent any time around dogs, so I was grateful for that) but I was discouraged from following the technician back to look at the cat accommodations, and that made me feel a little nervous. All the same, Venus came back happy as a clam and clearly untraumatized, I will probably bring Venus back for her nail trimmings.
