The Dawg Shoppe

Hands down the best grooming experience we have ever had. Our dog is not easy — he doesn’t like to stand, is nervous, and usually fights the whole process — so I went in with low expectations. I was absolutely blown away. They handled him with so much patience, care, and professionalism, and somehow still managed to make him look amazing. I honestly did not think it was possible for him to look this good. His coat is perfect, he smells great, and he was calm when we picked him up — which never happens. You can tell they truly care about the animals, not just the haircut. If you have a dog that’s difficult, anxious, or a "handful," this is the place you want to go. We will never take him anywhere else.

Our Goldendoodle and Yorkie visited Dana at The Dog Shoppe for their first appointment. We recently moved to the area from Florida and had been using the same groomer for years. I am so happy to have found Dana because she did exactly what we and our babies needed for their cuts! Both of the babies were perfectly cut and smelled so good when we picked them up! Highly recommend Dana, she is a rockstar!

I would give Dana and her team 10-star rating. They are amazing, caring and talented professionals. We just adopted a dog that was in dire need of makeover, and Dana was able to squeeze our appointment into a busy schedule. She and another young man (sorry for not remembering his name) were able to do magic and help us bring clean and groomed fur friend to her new home. I wish I had taken the photos of before the grooming, but the dog was so dirty and covered in feces and urine that it even didn’t cross our mind at the moment. We are very grateful for the staffs willingness to assist us in emergency situation. If we lived closer to Grove City, that would be our permanent grooming facility. THANK YOU❣️Wonderful personnel. 😢😢😢 I went in today for my 6months old puppy hair cut and I talked to Dana who I even showed pictures of how I will like my westie to look. This was his first cut and I was very excited. Upon arriving she told me I’m gonna see a brand new dog and In fact I did. She brought a dog out to which I jumped and ducked down because I was Afraid of how it looks she then told me that this was my dog. I cried and asked her what happened to my dog. How did my fluffy dog turned into dobby from Harry Potter. She said that the dog was matted and she told she was gonna cut his lower stomach short. I’m a first time dog mom so I don’t know the names of cut so the most I could do is show pictures. I told her that I was fine with his stomach area shorter since it won’t offset his cut anyways or so I thought. To say the least I was very disappointed because his hair won’t grow back and I wished I never took him there. This was just horrible and he has patches all over his fur so even her shaved down cut missed the mark. The first two pics are of my dog and the second two are the inspiration pictures I took from Pinterest, last pics are the atrocious work she did. I paid $80 also for this.

This was our first time at the DAWG Shoppe and we couldn't be more pleased! Our 16 yr old miniature poodle looks beautiful. Everyone was super friendly, the shop is very clean, bright, and cheery. And we didn't hear any barking or crying at all - unlike other places we've been. Rob was our groomer and he did a fantastic job!! We highly recommend the Dawg Shoppe.

I took my puppy to another shop and she was there 3-4 hours for a simple trim around her face and feet and a nail trim, they called it a "puppy package." I was not happy having her in a cage that long. I tried the Dawg Shoppe, they got her in the same day and it was very calm in the shop. She was only there for a little over an hour for a full groom, not just a "puppy package." She looked great and was so calm when I picked her up! The staff is amazing, I will not go anywhere else!!

Had my Miniature Schnauzer groomed Saturday by Sophia and she turned out absolutely adorable. She warmed right up to her and it was good to see her confident in a grooming environment when she hasn’t had that experience in the past. Will definitely be bringing her back!
