Petcetera

My dog is always so excited to come to Petcetera, and these ladies love seeing him! Kind and caring people who work here. They make him look so beautiful. I love the holiday photos they take of my sweet boy every year as well!

I had a terrible experience at Petcetera and won’t be returning. I was quoted $60 for grooming, only to find out at checkout that the price was actually $70 plus an extra credit‑card fee they quietly pass along to customers. When I asked about the difference, the staff spoke to me in an incredibly condescending tone and looked at me like I was somehow the problem for asking a basic question. Instead of explaining the price change, they acted irritated and dismissive, which was honestly more shocking than the upcharge itself. For a business that’s already overpriced, the absolute bare minimum should be treating customers with respect, but that clearly isn’t a priority here. There are plenty of grooming businesses that are transparent, kind, and professional. Petcetera is not one of them.

I would give zero star if there’s an option. When we got the puppy at Petland (8616 N Boardwalk Ave, Kansas City, MO), we were referred to Petcetera (Yes, I am very sure about this groomer, nobody else!). We scheduled our appointment June 2022 and when the day arrived, we told the groomer we would like to have the standard miniature schnauzer cut, the response of the groomer was very promising and we had great faith in her. We picked up our dog and it was disheartening to see him having the ugliest cut. I think I could have done a better job than the groomer(I don’t mean to sound arrogant). A standard schnauzer cut requires the beard to be cut so much and uneven???!!!! This is my 3rd schnauzer and I never saw a cut like this with my other two before. My dog came home that day and went straight to his cage and laid there for hours looking so sad and quiet. Looked like he didn’t enjoy going there. We stopped going there ever since and would never recommend anyone to even try.

My pups come out looking extra clean, fluffy and well groomed! They are happy leaving which tells me they are well taken care of. Thank you, Petcetera!

Maria and the rest of the grooming team are friendly, super caring and great. They take pride in their work and it shows. Maria has been grooming my fur babies for years. I first had a yorkie and now two Maltese mixes. She always tries to please.....she is the best. I would recommend Maria to anyone who wants the best for their fur baby.

Best results ever! We recommend the Englewood location. Savanna did an excellent job the first time grooming our 5 lb. Yorkie.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Savannah who groomed my dogs McGee and Bear. They are caring and take their time and both of my dogs look AMAZING!!!! I was concerned about Bear not doing well at the groomer since I just adopted him in January and I'm unsure of his history. They got him groomed and nails all trimmed. They said that both Bear and McGee were sweet and I can't wait for the next appointment I'm so impressed!!!!! When I picked them up they looked so happy and handsome. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a groomer. If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would.
