DC Grooming

I brought in my 10yo husky for a deshed and Jen did amazing! It was our first time here. She was very calm so I knew she would be good with my dog who is slightly anxious. Will definitely be coming back.

We have been going to DC grooming for years & absolutely love Danielle. My boy always comes back looking and feeling 1000x better. Danielle also recently helped us catch a very early sign of cancer that allowed us to get early treatment. We adore DC grooming!

Our first time using DC’s. Wonderful experience. My shy dog fell in love with Erin immediately. She did a great job on his nails. Definitely returning for a bath.

I received the recommendation to see Danielle at D.C. Grooming from a friend who works with dogs and groomers, so I knew her recommendation carried plenty of weight. Danielle has been grooming our Lagotto Romagnolo for over two and a half years now, and she has done such a good job, even my breeder, who is a groomer herself, is impressed. She listens, takes direction well and also researched on her own be able to groom her so that she is a good example of what a Lagotto should look like. On top of knowing our girl is in good hands, Danielle is also nice, and funny to boot, so it’s a pleasure to drop my pup off and pick her up and I love the simplicity of the curbside service. Danielle has made great recommendations on tools so that I can maintain my pup’s coat well, which is a win for everyone. I wish I had better photos but we were recently camping so these will have to do.

We brought our young 'lab blend' pup here for his first professional nail trim several months ago after having good experiences with our senior pup's nail grinds. We'd been doing minor trims of the puppy's nails at home a bit but were looking for a grind too. They took the young guy in and we didn't see him for a *very* long time. When they emerged the groomer said he had blown his anal glands and it took two people to 'hold him' while they completed the process. It is now several months later and he is still terrified of getting his nails trimmed. I'm sure the traumatic experience of being held and forcibly trimmed (to the point of causing him to express his glands) is the main cause of his anxiety. In hindsight I REALLY wish they had seen how terrified he was and had just brought him back out and said "we can't do his nails -- he is way too scared." I know each dog that's new to a groomer is a learning experience, but surely his anxiety was pretty obvious. The last time we took my senior pup his quick was nicked as well. I truly appreciate the incredibly hard work of dog grooming! DC just isn't the place for our needs.

The DC grooming ladies go above and beyond! Brittany is the BEST! My boys have been groomed here for years and I always leave them knowing that they’re in the best of hands and will be well taken care of.

Jennifer clipped our German Shorthair Pointer's nails beautifully. Spots had never had his nails clipped and we weren't sure how he would react. Jennifer was friendly, professional and quick. We will definitely recommend DC Grooming and especially Jennifer.
