Michigan School of Canine Cosmetology

Our Old English Sheepdog, Hunny Bear, was in desperate need of some professional grooming! I found MI School of Canine Cosmetology through some online searching. I’m so glad I found them! Our experience was exceptional! Though we had been grooming from home, Hunny Bear had matting, so I knew she would need to get shaved to remove the mats. The groomers did such a great job working with our OES! The full groom was incredibly affordable at only $80! Hunny Bear left happy and we now have a fresh start and some helpful advice on how to make her at-home grooming a better experience for all of us. We will definitely be returning to the MI School of Canine Cosmetology. It was worth the 1.5 hour drive from our home!

Oh, how I love these ladies! They always do such a great job with my dogs. My dogs are always excited to go see them! I love their reminder texts. I'd recommend it for sure!

My poodles have both been groomed here and I give 5 stars. While the students sometimes make a little mistake (leaving a curl unclipped, a forgotton toenail or an uneven topknot), they do an awesome bath and a way better groom than I can do. Usually it's perfect! The younger dog is anxious and afraid of new people, but she doesn't have any trouble here amazingly. They are reasonably priced. The facility is clean. Arriving a few minutes early helps the desk agent, the dog, instead of being in a rush.

I have been using them for years for my large rough collies. They do a fantastic job and the prices are more than fair. Their drop off and pick up policies are very helpful when you are trying to fit getting a dog groomed into your busy day. My dogs never seem to mind going back, which makes me feel that they are treated very well while being groomed. I highly recommend this place.

Our two huskies just got back from their first grooming appointment, and we are very impressed! They came back looking so handsome. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, and our boys are very happy. Would recommend this place to anyone.

It's been about a month since we took our dog there. The lady at the desk is not welcoming. She insisted immediately he would need a short shave. When I picked him up she charged me and let me tip before I saw him. Both of his ears were cut and bleeding. His butt was also cut. He was bald. He went into a depression and wouldn't eat as he is used to being warm with all his hair. It's taken him a month to feel and act normal again. I understand these are students but where are the instructors. We'll never go there again.

I had heard about grooming services & thought I would try them. When I went in to pick up my dog I saw several other dogs getting lots of attention. However my little dog was not even all groomed & was done very quickly! I asked why & the girl said "oh I didn't know you wanted that part done". Why wouldn't I want a full groom, that's what I requested! After them touching up several areas that they didn't do he still looked like a dog they didn't want to spend time with. I'm writing this review because I don't want this to happen to someone else! BEWARE!! You need to give explicit detailed instructions if you go to them! I will never return... my dog deserved much better!!
