Hair Of The Dog Grooming Salon

First off, I’ve been coming here for 3 yrs and I’m a helicopter dog mom. I see the same great staff each time. That’s says a lot! They love my Oprah Winfrey and take good care of Oprah. They’re efficient and caring. I drop Oprah off first thing in the morning and pick her up 4 hours later. Pricing is the same as other groomers, so they stay competitive on pricing and offer great service. My time, Oprah’s time and dog groomers time are all very important, and I make sure to tip them each time to let them know I appreciate them.

Beside having the best name ever, this place is truly amazing. I know I’m gonna have a good chuckle when I pick up my dog and the groomer has a sheepish look on their face. They can’t help themselves and always give me back a booty cheeked up fluff muffin that looks like an anime character! Hahahaha seriously this place brings me so much joy! Down to the business side of things though, they are also incredibly friendly, well priced, and truly treat the dogs like they’re at the spa for the day. I love this place so much!

Worst place ever. I paid 80$ for my dog to still be dirty and uneven. They had my baby for 4 hours. They had tons of dogs with hardly any groomers. It was way too many dogs. No water anywhere. Hair was everywhere and it smelt like pee so bad. My dog was also cut a couple times on his stomach. Don’t waste or trust these people with your money or pet.

We just picked up our 3 year old lab, Sage. This was our second time coming here. Sage’s nose is rubbed raw and bloody from being left in a kennel. Last time she was in one of their larger dog runs and was fine. This time they put her in a kennel and failed to check on her. Her nose is now bloody and swollen. They didn’t act surprised or concerned when we pointed it out during pickup. They charged us before we got to see her and didn’t offer to refund or give a discount. They just said it was because she was stressed in the kennel and never even apologized. We won’t be coming back here.

Hands down the worst experience I have ever had. I told them to take their time with my dog and they did not. He was completely shaved, which we asked for, however, and they did such a rush job that he was nicked in several places. My dog was traumatized. He was shaking when i got there to pick him up, and it was several days before he started acting like himself. Nails were not trimmed, and he didn't smell like a dog that was freshly washed. It's hard to say what they did or didn't do as they had him somewhere in the back of the store. I have seen the staff there be very rough woth the dogs as well. This was brought up to management previously and I was assured that the issue would be addressed. Clearly it was not. I will never go back.

Amazing job!! I love how caring they are here! Im glad to have found a place that makes me feel comfortable leaving my fur baby. Not only that but the price is very reasonable, so many places have price gouged me but they are so accommodating and fair for the services they do. Definitely would recommend!

An unexpected and last-minute surprise! I took a chance and called Hair of the Dog after doing a Google search for nearby groomers. I just moved to this party of the city and my doggos were in need of a spa day. The gentleman on the phone said if I came with them in an hour, he could take them in... today! I was there in 20 minutes ☺️ The person I spoke to on the phone greeted me and my pups. I could tell right away that he and his staff was perfect for my dogs. Very friendly and welcoming, easy breezy new client sign up, clean facility, and a quick hand off. After my doggos were taken in the back, the, what I now know, owner and I talked about what I wanted for each in terms of cut... then he took out a portfolio! A portfolio of different types of haircuts so we are on the same page. Three hours later, I got a call... they'll be ready in thirty minutes. I loved the heads up call!! Picked them up and each came out smiling and very happy. I recommend this grooming shop to anyone I know with a dog in this area. You and your doggos will be very happy 🥳
