I’m writing this review with deep disappointment and concern. Our dog Cutter was severely injured during a grooming appointment at Shaggy Chic Pet Grooming. While they did text me beforehand to say there was matting and they’d need to cut his coat close, never in my wildest dreams did I think a professional groomer would cause this level of harm. After the appointment, Cutter developed a serious hotspot from being clipped far too close to the skin. The wound was so severe it required two separate vet visits—and now, nearly a month later, he is still in pain and discomfort. Watching him suffer has been heartbreaking. When I contacted the groomer, they immediately denied responsibility and blamed the issue entirely on matting. That’s not acceptable. I’ve been a dog owner for over 30 years and have never had a groomer cause an injury like this. Matting is not uncommon—but it should be handled with skill, care, and communication. Not with damage that leaves a dog traumatized and hurting weeks later. There was no apology, no accountability, and no follow-up concern. If you love your dog, please think twice before bringing them here. Our pets depend on us to protect them—and Cutter deserved better.

Honey looks absolutely fabulous after her first puppy grooming! Maddy was so kind and thoughtful - she sent photos and kept me updated throughout the entire service, which made me feel included every step of the way. I couldn’t be happier with the experience and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a groomer who truly cares.

We have been going to Shaggy Chic for a few years now and they are the best!! We’ve been taking our 2 dogs together. Not only is their grooming great but the staff was so caring and thoughtful when our one dog passed away 🙁 Our sweet golden retriever, Pancake, gets groomed by Maddy and she is the absolute best!!! We love her! Pancake loves her! She knows all dog breeds but especially knows goldens 🙂

They always take great care of my older cat. She is very prone to getting mats in her fur and Jess is able to shave them out and still make the lion cut look good! Prices are very reasonable. I'm glad I found Shaggy Chic because there really aren't that many places that do cat grooming well. If you're looking for a cat groomer, I would definitely recommend this place.

Shaggy Chic is number one!! These humans love dogs. They do an amazing job time after time. The technicians are so sweet to my dog that she has actually stopped shaking when I drop her off for her spa day. Great customer service, great communication, great experience. 10/10
