Diamond Cut Dog Grooming School

I attended the program at Diamond Cut Dog Grooming school in January of 2026. After one day of theory class, which covered safety, blades, tools and grooming basics, we were grooming dogs on day two, with Nancy’s help. She stated that we would be grooming on our own by mid week of the second week, and she was absolutely correct. Nancy is wonderful teacher with an obvious love for the animals that are left in her care. It is a lot of work and pretty fast paced, but the curriculum and instruction at Diamond Cut Dog Grooming School will prepare you to launch a career in dog grooming. Doug is also a groomer and has the tools and knowledge to properly sharpen blades and shears. Nancy and Doug are great people who run an outstanding program. I attended this two-week grooming course and was impressed by how much information was packed into the program. Nancy is very experienced and clearly passionate about the industry. The training moves quickly, so you have to stay focused and take initiative, but that also means you walk away with a lot of knowledge in a short amount of time. I especially appreciated learning practical techniques and industry tips that you don’t always find in online videos. Overall, it was a valuable experience and a solid introduction to professional grooming.

I just completed this course and got my certification on January 9th and I am so excited and happy. I have always loved animals, especially dogs, and have wanted a job with them since as long as I can remember and then I was told of diamond cut dog grooming school. I thought about it and I prayed about it and I decided to take the plunge and try to get certified in dog grooming. They were happy to answer all my questions before I even enrolled in the class and continued to be while I was in the class. I went into the class knowing barely anything about dog grooming and have left knowing more than I thought I ever could have. Nancy and Doug were SO helpful and fun to be around. They are flexible, kind, have so many awesome stories to listen to, have helped me, taught me so much, and more! I now have a path and a career plan and I am so thankful that Nancy and Doug have given me this opportunity. I’m excited to have the opportunity to do something I love and am eternally grateful to Nancy and Doug for their help, encouragement, guidance, and their willingness to share their knowledge.

Attending Diamond Cut Dog Grooming School was eventful. Nancy and Doug were incredibly helpful, patient, and truly invested in helping me succeed. The school’s hands-on training and their many years of experience gave me real confidence and knowledge that puts me ahead as I begin my career. Day two you are grooming dogs! Yes, you read that correctly on day two you start learning and implementing what you learned on clients they have by yourself. They are there to guide you and talk you through it but they want you to do it. For me hand-on leaning was the best and I’m so thankful not only for the education I received, but for the lifelong mentors I gained along the way. I know Nancy and Doug are just a call away.

Diamond Cut is a wonderful grooming school with a small class for a more one on one feel. By day two you’re already hands on. You learn all equipment and supplies that you need for a safe and successful grooming career. Thank you Nancy and Doug for teaching me the knowledge to be a great groomer.

I would recommend this school for anyone wanting to become certified in dog grooming! The classes are smaller so you get one on one instruction. They provide the students with their own tools and supplies and also have some supplies for sale. Nancy and Doug are the nicest most helpful people! If you attend school here you will surely make a lifelong friendship with them! Not only do they teach you tips and tricks for grooming but also how to get your own business started. I am so glad I picked Diamond Cut to get certified for dog grooming, 10/10 experience!

Going to Diamond Cut Dog Grooming School was the best decision I have made. When I first thought I wanted to go to grooming school, I started looking at places to go and this one stood out to me from the beginning. I wanted a school that was hands on and also a shorter time frame, Diamond Cut Dog Grooming was the place that had just that. The school was three hours away from my home but the trip up was well worth it. Nancy and Doug have so much information to share and just sitting and listening to them talk is entertaining and interesting. The first class was a lot of information and very scary for me but Nancy and Doug made everyone feel at home. The second day we got to start grooming right away. It took a while to get the hang of things but Nancy is very patient and helps you along the way. Nancy and Doug supply all of the tools that you need for this class and you can purchase what you like at the end of the course. It was great to use the different tools without having to buy any before the class so you know what you like before you buy it for yourself. Diamond Cut Dog Grooming has helped me feel very confident in my grooming abilities and in just two weeks I am comfortable enough to start grooming on my own and open my own business someday.
