A Better Companion

I met the owner Kris nearly 20 years ago, and at that time, I was really cautious about who I could trust to take care of my beloved Phoebe. But from the moment I met Kris, I felt completely at ease! Kris is incredibly trustworthy and knows so much about dogs. I honestly couldn’t have imagined leaving Phoebe with anyone else. Now that I have a new puppy, Rusty, I wouldn’t dream of taking him anywhere besides Kris at A Better Companion for grooming or doggie daycare. They’re simply the best!

ABC is absolutely amazing! We are incredibly happy with the care, love and compassion Krissy, Andrea and the entire team give our pups. This daycare truly cares about their clients and it shows. We cannot recommend ABC enough!!

Lady was super pushy on the phone. She told me I should get more services done than I was asking for. She also acted like her being the professional, made me some kind of moron. Didn’t like her attitude. go elsewhere!

ABC is a great daycare option for your dog. The staff is experienced and the dogs are well cared for. I have been using ABC since February 2021 and every time I drop my dog off, he bolts through the door because he is so excited to be there. I feel like that's a good indicator of his experience. I also use ABC for grooming services. He comes out looking like a brand new dog.

The staff and owner of this great local doggy daycare care so much about their clients both furry and human. Grooming is top notch too. They even offer a teeth brushing service! Wonderful female-owned business. Highly recommend!

The people at this doggy day care seem like incredible people who LOVE your dog like it’s their own. I am a new customer and very impressed with the staff here. They are also super flexible where I can just drop off my dog and pick him up whenever is convenient for me. I have never been to any other establishment so I don’t know how the facilities compare but I really wish there was more of an outdoor space. ABC offers an outdoor fenced in area on rock pebbles which seems to be about 20x30 feet. Theres also a similarly sized indoor room and about twenty or more crates for nap-time. There’s no chance for your pooch to run or chase. It’s more of a social club for dogs to smell each other and hang together. They also get to snuggle with the 4-5 staff members. I have an activity tracker on my dog and he gets almost no exercise while there. I’m betting that’s pretty common for a facility so close to the city.
