Petco Grooming

The groomers booked too many dogs the day my dog had her appointment. After they texted me to pick her up, they let me wait for over 30min while my dog sounded pretty stressed out in their back room. I asked them if that’s my dog that’s barking like that and when I can have her back. They continued to let me wait. In the end, they came out with my dog who had a bloody bruise about half an inch long on her forehead. Supposedly, she hit her head on the crate. When I asked if they had video footage of the back room, they told me they didn’t. My dog got a simple wash and I don’t understand why they couldn’t just return her to me while I was waiting there. They certainly don’t care about the dogs they groom. They certainly don’t care about the customers either. It was an upsetting experience. Petco sucks.

I am happy 😊 with the service, I would recommend to friends, neighbors. I hope to one day become a pet groomer myself maybe future hopebI can work part-time at a Petco to learn everything about grooming. Luke & Chloe look Amazing!

My pup gets the oatmeal bath. His coat always looks and feels great, shiny and soft. My one complaint is about the smell. It’s so fragrant. I don’t care for it. Not sure if it’s added perfume, which I ask not to be applied, or it is the oatmeal bath itself.

Marina was great. My dog is at tiny boy. He was matted badly (unfortunately.) when she was done my Yorkipoo was Matt free and he was very happy. Highly recommend Marina. She was very careful and respectful with my doggy

Updated Review: Apparently not all groomers here are good. When they auto-book my next grooming, they secretly changed my groomer of choice!! I only noticed this when I receive a terribly groomed dog today! This new groomer Elvira K gave my dog a weird shape head and uneven body cut. The worst thing is that she clipped my westie's tail too, my dog now has a rat tail for the next couple of month. Original Revie: Absolutely love this place! My regular groomers are Guy and Enrique. They are very skillful and efficient, and they always listen to my requests. Thank you for making my doggies look so cute and clean!

I am beyond frustrated with Petco’s grooming service! I had an appointment for my dog’s bath on Friday, and they canceled it last minute, saying the groomer wasn’t available. Fine, I asked them to reschedule the appointment. But instead of being helpful, their attitude was rude and dismissive. They told me they would call me back to set something up—and then, NOTHING. I waited for that callback, but it never came. I tried calling multiple times, and guess what? No one picked up. This is completely unacceptable and shows a total lack of professionalism and respect for customers. I have been a loyal customer, but after this experience, I will NEVER trust them again with my pet. If you care about your pet and your time, avoid Petco at all costs!

The Petco groomers in the Third Ave, NYC location are excellent! They listen to your requests and I feel safe leaving my doggie there.
