Absolutely horrible! Do not take your dog here. This was my third time and last. The first time was fine. The second time they charged me extra siting that my toy Poddle was matted (although I brush her every other day) but I digress, I paid the extra and it was fine. The third time, I made sure to throughly brush her, told them to give her a light trim but keep her fluffy. They called me 15 mins after drop off and said she was matted and they would have to cut her. I said fine, but keep her fluffy. Why did I pick her up and she looks like a completely different dog! She looks like a hairless chihuahua. I’m so pissed. There is no way they had to do my baby like this. If I could sue, I would. Not sure if it was a language barrier (the groomer doesn’t speak English and we had to use google translate) either way, she should know better. Absolutely horrible! If I could give 0 stars I would! It’s funny, I live in a building with a ton of dogs in Harlem and no one takes their dog here, now I know why!
I’ve been coming here since they opened. Peanut and Didi likes coming here, and the owner, Ty, is very nice and accommodating to me. *Update 2025* I use to come here, but they stopped answering my voicemails and emails. The last time I went here, they charged me a $60 late pickup due to my pre-arranged doctor’s appointment, which I could have moved to the next day or change my schedule if I knew I would be charge this, and also an extra $30 for ‘matted’ hair even though I do monthly grooming plus 20% tip (it was over $200). Since I didn’t hear back after five calls, I went across the street to The Bark Shoppe (they’re always appreciative of my business and tip).
My girl loves this place! They are always so kind. I have a 12 year old Chihuahua and she usually doesn’t warm up too quickly to new people or places, but she is so calm when I pick her up not to mention she looks great. So happy to have them in the neighborhood.
When I arrived the place looked nice and clean and the lady greeted very nicely. First time taking my dog here to trim her nails and I will not be going back. I didn’t really like that when my dog was taken to the back and I heard her bark uncomfortably, I was very concerned. I thought maybe that they were being a bit rough while cutting her nails. My dog had to go back a second time cause they missed a few nails and my dog had to be dragged to go back. Overall I wasn’t very pleased with the service.
Absolutely unacceptable experience. I will not be returning. I recently brought my 23-pound schnauzer to Precious Paws & Bubbles and booked the Paws & Bubbles Deluxe Package, expecting the price listed online. When I dropped her off, I was suddenly told the price was $115 with no explanation. The person at the front desk simply pointed at a vague sign that said "$100 and up," as if that excused the lack of transparency. To make matters worse, I was charged an additional $30 because they claimed my dog had mattes. Not only was this not discussed beforehand, but when I picked her up, she had been completely shaved down. Not trimmed. Shaved. I walked in expecting a deluxe grooming service and walked out $157 poorer (with tax) and my dog looking like a completely different animal. This isn’t high-end grooming—it’s poor communication, questionable pricing, and amateur-level customer service. The individual working the front desk that day was unprofessional, discourteous, and flat-out rude. No attempt at customer care, no explanation of services, just an attitude and a final bill. I’ve come here before, but after this experience, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who cares about their pet or their wallet.
I had a strange and uncomfortable experience at this place today. The woman at the front desk was warm and welcoming. While we waited, I could hear a dog in the back crying loudly — that kind of sharp whining and barking that sounds like they're in pain. When the groomer finally came out, she looked upset and frazzled. I tried to say hello, but she was on her phone with headphones in. Thinking she didn’t hear me, I said hello again, but she just stared at me without responding. The front desk woman also seemed confused and asked the groomer to remove her headphones so we could talk. At that point, the groomer started yelling at her. That was when I decided to leave. Honestly, I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my dog in her care.
TT is the best! She’s been grooming, my Yorkie For two years now and he loves it and I love it as well!
