Red Carpet Pet Grooming

I’ve been taking our dog Lulu here for the past year and a half. This is a fantastic, locally-owned small business. They deliver consistent results every time and even leave our dogs "mini Mohawk," as requested. Lulu smells heavenly whenever we get her back from Red Carpet Pet Grooming too and people always think she’s a puppy (she’s about to be 10)! Also, it’s pretty easy to get an appointment on short notice and the online booking is very easy. For a haircut and bath it usually only takes a 2-3 hours and we always get a call about 30 minutes before she’s done to let us know so we can pick her up at the expected end time. I highly recommend this groomer!

We’ve just recently moved to Oceanside and businesses have just recently reopened and our dogs were desperately in need of some TLC. I was able to get an appointment within the week of my call instead of a month wait. Asia took time to get to know my dogs on their first visit, listen to my preferences on how I like them cut and even do a test clipping to make sure the length was exactly I wanted. She washes, grooms, and washes them again to remove excess hair. My fur babies are so clean and silky smooth with their summer cuts. I’m beyond happy with her work and so happy to have already found our new longtime groomer.

It was my dogs first time there, and the lady that checked us in was very nice! My girl Rosie has been hesitant going to her past couple of grooming places but she was happy going in and happy coming out! They had a ton of availability and the prices are also very fair! We have found our grooming salon!

I was very impressed with the quality of care that was provided. It was My 2 1/2 year old boy Moon’s first time and he’s got a little anxiety and active. The lady was very calm, soothing, nice and tenitive to every thing that I asked for. He looked absolutely beautiful and smells wonderful. We will be regulars. Thanks

I brought my 15 year old dachshund here for what I thought would be a relaxing spa day. After being groomed by someone who had never done it before and absolutely no experience with dog grooming we ended up at the vet with a corneal ulcer. The guy that washed my dog was apparently just in town to help out his cousin who owns this shop. He had very long fake finger nails on that somehow ended up in my dogs eye and poked her very hard. They knew this happened here and when it happened so after I showed them without ever leaving they started avoiding me that instant. It took me taking pictures of his license plate for the owner to call me. She finally gave me reimbursement for 1 vet visit even though we had 3. I did not want to make this review but after much thought it is best that the neighborhood knows what could happen to their dog. I understand covid has made it tough on businesses but it has also affected my life and I was unemployed for a very long time so that $35 grooming was already pinching my pockets but then after 3 vet visits that really hurt me financially. I hope since this has happened they have hired people with experience and not just their family members. I also hope nobody else has to go through this with their senior dog! Be careful with this place!

I never leave reviews good or bad. But people should known not to take their fur babies here. I got my dog groomed here & the owner (I’m assuming) was very hostile from the beginning. After feeling uneasy with my dog being in her possession, I went back in there to get my dog. The moment I walked in she started raising her voice and telling me I was not allowed to be in there nor text or call while my dog was in her possession. This was an immediate red flag. After stating my concerns, she began to yell, telling me my dog was not dry and I needed to leave the parking lot and go sit by the beach until my dog was dry. When I proceeded to tell her I would wait in my car, her frustration grew. This was another red flag. She spent all of 25 minutes grooming my dog and charged a over $250. Mind you, my dog looks almost exactly the same as when I brought him in. My dog is like a family member and I have never felt so unsafe leaving my dog with a groomer. This is not someone who should be in the pet business.

Horrible first time here!! They said approx 2 hours and it was 10 minutes short of 6 hrs! Our dog is 18 months old groomed every 5-6 weeks. Never a problem! Red Carpet cut her tail off because there was some matting, said her nails were too tough to cut, said her face was too skirmish to trim! All in all worst experience ever! Beware!!!
