The Charming Canine

We have taken our dog Holly to board her here, this was the second time. Holly is a reactive dog and we were a bit concerned the first time because we had never boarded her before. But when we picked her up we could tell she liked the owner. When we arrived this time Holly was excited to get there as she remembered her last visit. She wagged her tail and was very comfortable. While were gone we received many pictures and updates. Our girl was very well taken care of . Highly Recommend

It has taking me a while to find a great Groomer in Palm Harbor. Our Groomer retired but would come to our house so I wasn’t sure about having to drive the dog even though it is really close. But let me tell you they were fantastic and well worth it! Great people, Oscar, my golden doodle, loved them, and just as importantly, he was groomed perfectly! I have tried probably six different groomers after Margaret retired and I finally have found the perfect answer! These guys rock ! They’re also opening up daycare and overnight care that we might try. I haven’t yet though.

I have tried a few different places down here from small mom and pop shops to large corporate shops. I have not at all been pleased with the experiences until now. Staff was very friendly but more importantly they did a good job. She was cleaned and smelled fresh (other places you can’t even tell if a bath was given), her ears were cleaned thoroughly (other places seem like they don’t even touch them despite being part of the service), and her nails were trimmed nicely without any jagged or splintering edges as some places leave them. It’s only my first time here but based on what I have seen, I’d recommend them to anyone in the area and will be returning.

The staff is patient and very pleasant. My little guy poses a huge challenge when it comes to grooming, but they are very competent and do a superb job. The cost is very reasonable! I highly recommend the Charming Canine.

I hate to leave negative reviews but this is my second time with a poor experience with grooming my pom here. After finding mats last time I felt the need to mention it. Still willing to give the friendly staff another chance. I have had groomers deal with the same ear mats countless times in the past & they don't cut completely around the ears giving my dog what is essentially the look of a mullet. To top it off the charming canine left EVERY single other little mat on her body. Maybe they can't groom a dog with a double coat? I don't know, but I wouldn't come here if you have a pom

The best! Milo is afraid of loud noises & water & Julie takes excellent care of him! Love this groomer & recommend them to everybody when asked!

We had been taking our golden here for 5 years. When we picked her up from her last appointment we are told the price was substantially higher (nearly 30% higher!)than previously due to new ownership. We have to book at least 3-6 weeks out so to get that surprise with no advance notice was quite a disappointment. We paid the price, tipped our favorite groomer and left. Too bad the new owner didn’t care to retain existing clients. We will not be returning. To clarify since the owner responded, we were paying $85 and under new ownership is was $110, not the $10 increase she mentions in her response. I also waited until my favorite groomer was terminated by new ownership to leave a review. Apparently ownership did not appreciate her as much as we did.
